The Bardi people are from the Dampier Peninsula situated around 200 kilometres north-east of Broome, Western Australia. This beautiful little fairy is my daughter, Maddy :) Spring Fairy won 1st place in the Costume Party challenge in the Childhood group… thank you to everyone who voted!! :) Featured in Live, Love, Dream 2008 .

my fave subject in the whole world….love capturing her, which was how my passion in photography started in the first place :) she was playing with her winnie the pooh doll, she even tried giving him some water lol :P processed to mimic a film exposure….added some grain and extra noise to enhance the mood and give the film look. This was taken up at the Ornamental Gardens in Summerland BC, shortly prior to my run-in with the sleeping bears. I was sad to cut my photo taking short, as the colours were absolutely crazy beautiful! This is a very busy image…...and it breaks all the rules…..but what the heck :)
