  • Purple Rain
    by Jeremy Harrington

    US$3.71–US$98.80

I took this photo in my backyard after the rain today. I think it worked well as the flower seems to jump out from the contrasting blurry green background. Hope you all like it.

  • Unfortunately most plants in this stunning garden are untagged. I have no official name for this striking daisy. Taken in Lilian Fraser Garden, Pennant Hills (Sydney) Australia. Lilian Fraser (the third qualified female biologist in Australia) was born in 1908 at Kurrajong, NSW. The family moved to Pennant Hills after her father Charles purchased the ‘Hopetoun’ poultry farm in Bellamy Street sometime between 1915 and 1920. Over the years, much of the original farm was sold off as residential lots but almost an acre was kept for gardens surrounding the house. The present garden covers 3,426 square metres. Lilian Fraser lived on the property for most of her life. During a career spanning 33 years, Dr Fraser made many significant contributions to world knowledge of citrus diseases. She travelled extensively in Australia and overseas, spending her holidays exploring bushland for new plant and disease specimens. / / Following the death of her mother, Dr Fraser became more involved in the gardens surrounding the house, growing a wide range of plants. As trees and shrubs matured, the garden evolved into the woodland garden it is today. Among the wide range of plants are some very special for their size or rarity. As she approached old age with no immediate family, Dr Fraser offered her garden to Hornsby Shire Council. Her final wish was for her garden be enjoyed as a public garden and park. She died in 1987, aged 79. Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM

It would be such a pity to leave without a comment. Like it? Say so. Don’t like it? Say so too! With a bang, if that fits your style. I’d rather leave a negative impression (on someone) than nothing at all. DullnBoring is not my middle name. Neither my last (I knew you’d probably say that!). As for the first name, it’s on the front page. So, please, leave a note and make my day a beautiful one! • Powerfully Beautiful
    by Brett Earl

    US$4.28–US$114.00

In the warm summer night, I watched this amazing dry storm cell pass over me from the West. It looked like it was going to cross right over top of me – so I made an escape plan (run like hell!) But in the end, it turned north and head away from me – not before I captured this. • Beautiful and Wild
    by Joyce Dickens, IPA

    US$4.56–US$121.60

This is what was remaining this evening around 5:30, and after a day of horrific wind, and thunderstorms moving through Northern California. We had a severe wind warning; big rigs were pulling over on the I5 and the wind was almost impossible to drive in, gusting in every direction. The rain came down in torrants, and window wipers didn’t seem to help much and then just as quickly as it moved in, it was gone…the sun was shining through the clouds and the sun was beginning to set…..this is what was left, just Beautiful and Wild! ___ All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. • I love photographing in bad weather, there is just something about the drama of it all that amazes me, and this was of no exception. Garden of the Gods outside of Colorado Springs is the location, a place which, is simply magical and unlike anywhere else on Earth…the light here is the best I have ever seen, and even when there is none, it still holds it own. Captured this past early spring, where at the higher elevations the clouds brought snow, but where I was at, it was rain. • Passionate Peach
    by Kathie Nichols

    US$4.28–US$114.00

A wonderfully coloured pastel gerbera all peachy pink and fresh with raindrops! Macro photography is something that I am most passionate about!!! The entry to my home has wonderful lighting in the early morning so this is a fave place for me to photograph flowers. The lighting coming in from the frosted glass on my entry doors creates beautiful soft lighting!

  • Passionate Peach II
    by Kathie Nichols

    US$3.79–US$101.08

Another view of the same delightful gerbera that I posted a few days ago. Underneath can be quite beautiful as well. Macro photograph taken with aperture priority. The lighting is perfect for these type of shots just inside my front door entry. With crystal leaf glass in my front doors providing a beautiful and soft muted light for these flowers. Usually before 7.30am the light is good, any later and it fades quite dramatically. Macro photography is my passion!!!
