Taken in Tunga/Zuga Village .remote Nigeria. Rebecca is 13 years old and is orphaned. Her Grandmother was looking after her, but she now is dead also. Rebecca rarely speaks but loves to sing songs she learned from passing missionaries. She works in her grandmothers small garden. Her Grandmothers house is almost falling down. This Little girl and her mother came to me while i was ministering in Kujama, Nigeria. Her mother was in the latter stages of AIDS. I prayed for her and she was healed. Their Children are cared for by the elder woman, who cannot work. This was taken as soon as the carers saw the mums coming up the village path. they are sure hungry babies. Often Breast milk dries up within a few weeks of giving Birth. There is very little food here, and the scarce food they do grow is extremely poor in Nutrition and Vitamins / .I am inspired by the word of God that teaches us to not just pray for the poor, but to give of our substance to help them. A Parents Prayer for their sick child. / (2 Samuel 12:22) David answered: While he was still alive, I went without food and cried because there was still hope. I said to myself, “Who knows? Maybe the LORD will have pity on me and let the child live.” / I am an Irish born Missionary living in London I spend much time living with the Kambari tribe, I get to know first hand the challenges they face each day just to survive. I also have the privilege of capturing not only hunger, sickness and often death, but the more happy occasions. This is Grace, and when I first met Grace in April 2007, she was suffering from Chronic Malnutrition, adn intestinal worm infection. This was taken in December 2007, and the difference in 2009 is wonderful. Thank you to all who prayed and donated towards saving Grace. I will never forget taking this photograph, as I was standing waiting for the ferry to come. Anyone who has been to rural Africa will know that things runs on African time. That’s why I call them Last minute.com. After three hours, these two guys came to me and said the ferry Had broke down on the other side, and that they would take me accross. So I got in, with all my camera equipment and a very wet Interpreter, who fell into the water. / One the way accross I suddenly realised that the large boat coming straight towards us was the Ferry. It was so funny. The fishermen refused to take any payment, as they said it would bring good fortune to the, as they had a white man in their boat. they both recieved Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Rural Nigeria. / This was late evening, and i asked them to bring a child to me that had rickets, adn the brought 14 that were disabled by this terrible disease. some are not in the photo. I began to pray and the Lord touched me so deeply that I wept for them as I prayed. here are children who have bowed legs and feet adn they to as I was praying were praising God. the village canno grow enough food. this is why we are raising funds to buy a tracor and machinary, so we can help 25 villages grow good quality food. then rickets will be a thing of the past here in rural villages. I was getting ready to travel to ungwa/fada Village to see how they were coping with the new water pump and Grinder we bought them on our previous visit. As I was loading the vehicle, one of my helpers noticed a man carring a woman on his back. We found out later he had walked 6 miles carrying his sick wife. She was unable to move or communicate with us. We carried her into the small hall. Her body was all swollen and she was in great pain. I spoke to her husband through an intrepritor and he told us she was suddenly stricken with sickness a week ago. He was so distraught. I then spoke to Sarah and assured her that God was a God of Great love and compassion, and that he would heal her. I just knew that all were about to see a miracle take place. / Jesus says: / Mar 16:17-18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; (18) They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. With the help of an Intrepretor We began to Pray. I laid hands on Sarah and began to praise and Worship God. he has anointed me with power over all power of the enimy. It was about 10 minutes later, that Sarah opened her eyes and began to Speak. / It was not the native Housa Language, but the heavenly Language she was speaking, Gift of Tongues. Her legs began to move anddn her arms. 25 minutes later, and Sarah ws sitting up on a chair. This Photo was taken just 30 minutes after the Lord filled her with the Holy Spirit and completely healed her. PRAISE GOD! I spoke to Sarak on 2oth June 2008 Via telephone, and she is well and sharing her Miracle with many. Sarah was healed on 11th December 2007. / This was witnessed by 30 villagers who had gathered outside the small hall. Here you see Leah praying to God before she starts her daily task of caring for her younger brother and sister, John and Sarah. / Her father died shortly after our last visit in December 2007. Mother is sick. James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. In the midst of so much suffering, Jesus is always there to comfort, heal and strengthen. Like me, Leah draws strength and peace from her heavenly Father as She talks to him in Jesus name. There is no greater Love, or deeper heart of compassion than Gods heart toward all people, regardless of their Race, Color or background. To me He is my reason for living and my inspiration to help those in need. This is why I and the small team of unpaid volunteers work around the clock to help children like Leah and her family. Each day Mum and Dad work in the small field from sunrise to sunset. there is no school here and the nearest one is 4 miles away. Children are so precious and I cannot help but think of the great benefits our children have here in England and other developed countries. [portrait taken in Natural Light] : 16/11/2008 [AS IS] I was walking from one village to the next, in Remote Nigeria. one of the team noticed this young girl following us for some time. I stopped and spoke to her through an interpretor. We learned that she was 13 years old and caring for three younger Sisters. As she told us here story, I Felt compelled to return to her village. There we met her three younger sisters in the most extreme poverty. Both Parents were dead and no other living relatives. We spoke to the village Chief and the elders who pleaded with us to help the family. We did, as God lead us to and blessed her with clothing, and the following day we sent two of our field workers to meet with her and now they have a small regular income from our mission funds. UPDATE 5-8-2009. Mary is now at School. We pay her school fees adn her three younger sisters are well and happy. We need help with Susan, aged 9. She wants to go to school also. We need help with school fees, uniform adn text books. Can you help? will you Help? http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Every day Anna travels from village to village begging for food. We spend quite some time talking to her and a few local villagers in the area. The chiefs wife told us that Anna was found two years ago by other children in the fields near the village. For many days they made contact with other villages to see where her parents were, but with no success. Anna gets very little help and a few in the village do at times feed her, most of her time is spend begging in different villages. The chiefs wife also said they decided to name her Anna. Anna is dumb and cannot speak. She cannot communicate except by gestures. We have now moved Anna to a family in a village where we work. the family recently lost their eldest child, and now they care for Anna. We make a small contribution each month for her upkeep. 100% of all money raised from sales and donations via our charity website, goes toward helping these precious people. 100% folks. Taken during a visit to Kaban Village in remote Nigeria. Peace looks after lenti her younger sister,a s mum and dad work in the fields. Every day peace feeds and cares for Lenti. Lenti is extremely malnourished and is showing early signs of Rickets,a Disease that causes the upper and lower limbs to bow and lead to disability and pain. here in kaban village the locals try their best to grow enough food to eat and sell. Thank you to all of you who have donated and prayed for little Grace. She is now in good health and has made a great recovery. Praise God, I am so happy right now. Grace and other children who suffer so much Inspires me to work 12-14 hours per day sharing their plight with others and fund-raising.. I have not had the good fortune of ever having a salary for what I do. but God rewards me in many other ways. To see a child tat would have died now live and smile is wonderful. To empower the poor with more than just hope is what I live and work for. In Tunga/Zuga village, a remote village in Kebbe state Nigeria, there are so many children who are without ANY source of help. The village has no source of clean water, since their well collapsed in 2006. Intestinal worm infections, river Blindness, Chronic Diarrhoea, Malnutrition and other preventable diseases are killing and disabling many. We are making a difference and with your Prayers, Donations and support we can not only save their lives, refurbish the old school adn give them education. This is a photograph I took several years ago and On the day I uploaded it to my computer, The holy Spirit inspired me to write the verses contained in it. I Pray it will speak to many, and bring healing and forgiveness to those who are in need. Wounded deep by harsh cruel words, / And falsely accused by those who he loved, / Beaten and bruised, stripped naked and mocked / Tears mingled with blood, now covered his face. Hate filled hearts tied him to a post, / His back like a field that had just been ploughed / From furrows deep blood flowed to the ground / With a heart filled with love he endured the pain. Hands that healed and often clasped in prayer, / Feet that once carried a message of love, / both now nailed to a cruel cross, / Innocent one now waiting to die. Crowds stood and watched as he cried out to God, / Father forgive them, Forgive them he cried, / The price was paid and he bowed his head and died. Forgive them father was his plea / As he paid the price for you and me, / Our sins washed away and pardon secured, / Forgive one and other as He forgive you. .Please Read this. This really was a special moment for me. I never knew that Lenti and the other children in this village had never seen a Biscuit/cookie before. She looked at it for almost 3 minutes and only began to eat it when she saw a member of our mission staff eat hers. Lenti is a precious little girl who was very ill when she came to our Mission Centre. Medicines alone just could not save her life. We prayed and trusted God to heal her and he did. We provided lots of Love and High Protein biscuits/cookies and Multi-vitamins, provided by you, whom we and the Lord depend upon. This gives me so much joy and drives me even harder to raise the funds to save and bless many more like Lenti. / My Passion and inspiration is God given, and although I lack Finances, it has never stopped me blessing these children. PLEASE READ THIS. “This was the exact moment in time when the Power of almighty God and his great compassion and love, touched a dying Child”. Taken in Kaban Muslim village in Nov 2008. I was ministering in the village along with several mission staff, and a mother brought her almost dead child to me and asked for Prayer. As I held the still body of this little boy in my arms, my thoughts went straight to Jesus. I spoke to teh Mother and all around me that the only one that could save this child now as Jesus. I said I will pray in Jesus name. There were a few unhappy elders around, but decided to agree that I should pray in Jesus name, just to see what would Happen. This was the breakthrough. Kaban village is a Muslim village and under Sheria Law. I simply laid my hand on the child and commanded life and divine health to enter the child and that God would fill this child with his spirit. In Jesus name I prayed. Instantly the child because to move his arms and legs and began to cry. I told the mother Jesus had healed her son, and to take her son and breastfeed him as he was hungry. All saw the Power of Jesus and was witnessed by all in the village. Others then came and many were healed and some openly give their lives to Jesus. others followed us on our way to Ungwa/Fada village and received Jesus in private. Jesus is alive and works in and through his people. He loves you, and that is a fact.
