I just love clouds. I carry a 2.1mp camera in the car just to photograph them. I can’t resist it. They are natural art and so very transient. I find pictures such as this ideal for relaxation or meditation.
Did I say I liked clouds? This artistic work (by the great creator himself) left me no choice but to pull over and snap away. I’m not interested in the names of such clouds, nor how they are formed. But boy am I interested in the beauty of them!
The camera struggled – it was low light as you’d guess – and not a brilliant camera. Having said that I was very happy with the results after some post processing to reduce some of the grain. It’s a haunting scene to me…. and one I just had to pull over and photograph.
Does the light intrude on the clouds? Is it straining to reach them?
Being a ‘cloud person’ I thought it time to go for some night captures. This one was 60 seconds. I had to improve the brightness even then in post production.
Clouds by moonlight are just as beautiful – perhaps more so because they become much more fluid when 60 second exposures are used.
Just a flower. I took this picture in a war cemetery for the river kwai bridge victims in Thailand (approx 100km west of bangkok). Each of the victim has a flower planted near their stones, all of them have a different flower. the cemetery is incredibly well taken care off and the Thais, great gardener are caring everyday… I like the idea that maybe something from each soldier/victim express themself in these flowers, maybe… At Katchanabury allied war cemetary in Thailand. / On deceased soldier’s grave is a flower, they bloom, thrive, survive or die themselves. Coincidence? This flower is part of the Katchanabury Flowers series Monday Flower / Tuesday Flower / Wednesday Flower / Thursday Flower / Friday Flower / saturday Flower

This is my first long dialogue with a doe this spring. The ground is still frozen and some snow remains but she is ready to EAT, and yet she is in no hurry to turn away from the camera before I could get a decent shot of her beautiful figure. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
At this point I am not sure Spring would ever come so perhaps the thaw around the tree over the lake was just some kind of “tease”. :)
Just before the last light of the day disappeared, River and I got to the edge of the forest and she had a good run at the other side of the fence! :)
This is another shed along the same road that River and I could stay over night! :) :) :)
River loved the woods, any large piece of forests where she could find foxes, deer, moose and wolves, or even a piece of woods just has trees would make her heart “leap”. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
My friend Clark made this tree face that I thought was interesting.
This is my favorite doe, who posed for us last fall, for many many pictures! She gave birth to a few more fawns this spring, who have become River’s “new best friends”. She is just as proud and pretty as last year!
Sony DSC F717 Digital photo, Photoshop enhanced. This is a statue representing the Buddha. The statue was acquired in Thailand by my friends Michael and Morgan. They graciously allowed me to photograph and edit as I saw fit. Thanks guys. Looking at the finished photo inspired this thought ‘To see into the darkness illuminate from within.’ Believing strongly that our essence is somehow connected to all things, we need only to be still in order to perceive. Perhaps this thought is not original. And if not, I am happy to have shared in it at all. /
