A February storm unleashes its power in the beauty of non-stop lightning over Spencer Gulf in South Australia. This 15 second exposure shows just a small sample of a spectacular night’s viewing. The tiny lit chimney, that you can see on the left (which belongs to the lead smelter in Port Pirie), is actually 205 metres in height, which gives perspective to this, the power of natures finest glory.
Mother Nature in a spectacular mood. This photo was shot in February 2007 in the southern suburbs of Canberra, Australia in the height of a late summer storm.
YAAAAAAA HOOOOOOO I TOOK SECOND PLACE!!!!!!! THANK YOU DERID :) This composition is for Derids “BLUE MOON” contest. The beautiful “BLUE MOON” photo was taken by Derid (thank you Deri). All other photos were taken by me and edited using Photoshop CS2. The girl in this mod is my daughter.
Taken at the Great Salt Lake. Just happened to get a lightning shot with the sunset.
In the warm summer night, I watched this amazing dry storm cell pass over me from the West. It looked like it was going to cross right over top of me – so I made an escape plan (run like hell!) But in the end, it turned north and head away from me – not before I captured this. Every moment of light and dark is a miracle. / / Walt Whitman (1819 – 1892)
Another of 2007’s gift of lightning.

Part of the Sea Storm series shot off Bundeena Cliffs Royal National Park just south of Sydney. / The blur of the clouds is their movement over the 30 second exposure – more clouds start sweeping in as the storm gathers greater momentum. / This shot fits between this one and this one
Worth the click to Large – many more stars await you. Fourth in the Sea Storm series shot off Bundeena Cliffs Royal National Park just south of Sydney. It was quite a sight watching the storm gather momentum under this brilliant starlit sky. This shot is actually the third in the sequence and comes between this one and this one Canon 30D / Tv: 20secs / Av: f/3.5 / ISO: 800

Please view LARGE for detail – thank you! Naturi is the Goddess of Natural Energy…. All things natural, the weather, sun, moon, wildlife and vegetation all receive their energy from her. This image depicts the idea of her outflow of energy to a variety of living things, flowers, rivers, trees etc. She also has an outflow of pure love and protection for all things natural. Naturi herself was created in Daz Studio but the majority of the work has been carried out in Photoshop including the BG, all the added elements, lightning, hair etc. etc. Quite a big job which I really enjoyed. I hope you enjoy viewing her even half as much as I enjoyed portraying her! Thank you.
