This is the same photo as “Perched and Pretty” with the addition of text, “Don’t worry; be happy.”

River and I biked/ran along the old highway 512 in Renfrew County and we encountered this “shed complex” that has obviously lived a long and perhaps difficult life! Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
This is my first long dialogue with a doe this spring. The ground is still frozen and some snow remains but she is ready to EAT, and yet she is in no hurry to turn away from the camera before I could get a decent shot of her beautiful figure. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
At this point I am not sure Spring would ever come so perhaps the thaw around the tree over the lake was just some kind of “tease”. :)
Just before the last light of the day disappeared, River and I got to the edge of the forest and she had a good run at the other side of the fence! :)
This is another shed along the same road that River and I could stay over night! :) :) :)
Upon the waving tide, into the realms of darkness I wander. Kind Spirit, Loving Shadow, the dreaming moment is now upon me. May the Ninth Wave of the Ancestors welcome me. Awakening hope, thoughts of before, bring to my living soul that which is relevant to the present. Now, as I wander into the dreamland, may I be kept ever safe in all of the corners that I traverse. My soul is made sain in the hallowed chalice of Forever. Hope of joy, Hope of remembrance, Hope of dreaming, three anointing shadows to accompany me on my journey. Blessings to those within and without the circle. River loved the woods, any large piece of forests where she could find foxes, deer, moose and wolves, or even a piece of woods just has trees would make her heart “leap”. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
My friend Clark made this tree face that I thought was interesting.
This is my favorite doe, who posed for us last fall, for many many pictures! She gave birth to a few more fawns this spring, who have become River’s “new best friends”. She is just as proud and pretty as last year!
This is Kaz Seed, and this photo was taken days after she had come out of surgery for bowel cancer. I had not planned to take her portrait at such a time, but it all happened so quickly, that it was unavoidable. She was a good sport for letting me poke a camera in her face when she was not feeling the best… Still looks gorgeous though! Part of a double portrait I did to enter into the National Portrait Gallery Competition… I didn’t get in, but oh well, next time….
My friend at 37 weeks gestation…. Elegant, graceful and so bursting with life it seeps from every pore of her being…. Sunset Western Australia

i don’t get a chance to take many pictures – but here’s one today outside my house. :) / I call him “Juniper” after one of the first brothers to follow Saint Francis in his order “The Franciscans” / Juniper was known to be very innocent, gentle and holy…
Chance got Trinity’s hand print Tattoo’d on her leg along with her name underneath it. Trinity Hope. She loves her baby sister! We all love her so much! Chance just had the money to spend first! lol I used a solarized effect on the image to give it this look. /
