  • found a whole untouched box of slides today….. amazing and the first one out was the missing companion image to and at the end of the day .... makes a change from the deep brooding IR landscapes I’ve been putting up …... I’m pretty sure most people will figure out were this was taken and the old boat and the new boat framing this wonderful building are an interesting juxtaposition that speak about where we Australians have come from and were we are now…..... enjoy

  • Well I started the day with by taking down ten pages of pictures….. yep count them…. ten pages….... whoo hooo…... and then posted an image taken with my wonderful little Holga of the local coastline and showing a tiny bit of the Seacliff bridge which has got to be one of the most amazing bridges in the country… and we do bridges pretty darned well in this country….... anyway I digress…... so I thought I post another bridge picture…..I figure you all will know were this bridge is…....:) Anyhow a very dear friend…. a man with copious supplies of money but no actual common sense had a sweet little pad right on the foreshore of Lavender Bay and this was the view from his front veranda…...so sweet….... we used to kick back there on the hammock and chill on the view and whatever else it is that aids and abets chillin…..... :) this shot was taken about fifteen years ago and I had totally forgotten about it but from time to time I try and continue what may turn into my lifes work…. digitzing boxes and boxes of analouge capture…. that means film…. from a lifetime spent snapping anything and everything…... the colour in this is the way it scanned and I like it…. it looks like a memory and that is exactly what it is to me…. a memory of a wild and wonderful time…...

  • The great Southern Ocean is a very powerful thing. This kelp was dragged from the bottom of the ocean during a storm and deposited on the beach at Trial Harbour like a piece of lightweight plastic. It was very heavy, I tried lifting it but found it almost impossible. Taken with a Panasonic FZ-18 For more beautiful images of Tasmania please visit RT Gallery

I saw these reflections and ran for the camera. Sydney Harbour like a mill pond before the many vessels start their morning trips and disturbing it’s surface. The other factor is that look to the water surface that landscape photographers might know it’s like a oily look to the water that lends itself to wonderful reflective surface. It took many shots of Sydney Harbour this morning, if, and you should have seen the sunrise that followed . WAIT ! yes i have photos of that as well. Equipment: Manfrotto Tripod, Nikon D300 Nikon 18-200mm Lens / Technique: 5 Bracketted Exposures, Photomatix 3.2, Capure NX Sydney is the capital of the state of New South Wales in Australia / See Also / Right Place Right Time:

  • all these images are of the exquisite old lighthouse on Flagstaff Hill in Wollongong. All these images have been taken with some sort of film from Infrared to colour and black and white and even 120 film in a little Holga… they were taken over a period of about a year when I lived quite close to it and would get up some very early and go and watch the sun rise very near to it…
