Wild Stallion on the sand dunes of North Carolina
Stink Beetles is from an original painting by Karin Taylor. / The original painting won a prize at the Horizons Art Gallery in South Tweed Heads, Northern NSW and subsequently sold at same exhibition. / This was terrific fun to create…...in the end i added googly eyes that you can buy from the craft shop…..and they move around if you shake the painting… lol / there’s lashing of ink, pastel, acrylic and charcoal on this painting, layers and layers of fun and gigantic mess was created in the process…..but from the chaos out came these lovely luminescent beetles that my heart adores….ever since i was little, i have been fascinated with some aspects of nature, particularly beetles, lizards, flowers, cats, foxes, baby birds….i am but a dreamer :) of all these, stink beetles were perhaps my favourite, because of their magnificent shields of luminescent/iridescent colour glinting in the sun as they paraded up and down the tree trunks and either side of the leaves, fascinating creatures….....thought it an appropriate one for Easter Sunday…new life and all that~
Wild deer in Yosemite National Park – USA I spent ages with a group of these deer. Walked slowly to approach, after approx 15 mins i was surrounded by them, couldn’t shoot as they were too close, one just 10cm away, so we just hung out together until the cold drove me inside. Was a beautiful experience. They have the most gorgeous eyes :)) I loved every minute in Yosemite. This is a color photograph of a butterfly begining to take flight, taken June 2008.
These creature teachers fascinate me and I love to follow them around, as they always have a surprise for me (photographically speaking)... / This began as an original photo enhanced ‘artistic’ in photoshop. / Enjoy ;) TK
I have always loved Sea urchins and have always collected them from when i was a child right up into adulthood. They would be the first thing I would look for when I got out of my car and my feet hit the sand on the beach. Suprisingly there arent that many to be found anymore on the beach where I have always gone to find them. sony ax 300 SLR 70 – 200ml lense. Acrylic on 6×9 Painting Board I have never painted before. I mean, of course I did stuff when I was a kid, but I haven’t picked up a brush since. I’m so happy with this piece. It sort of signifies my acceptance with what is to come. Today was the worst day of my art career. I pretty much had the biggest breakdown since I started. But this peice helped me through as did so many of you wonderful members. You guys truely are gems. At some point tonight I’m gonna thank each one that responded to my journals individually. Art = Blood, Sweat and tears it seems. And thanks to you guys and your words I feel as if I’m up for the challenge. So enjoy this. Starlight.
Alright! Originally this character was a fanart for Shannon’s Mershelda Character. However, due to how different my work is Shannon allowed for me to post this piece for sale (given that I change the name, of course!) Thanks Shannon, you rock :D
In Honor of my Father who never got to dive deep beneath the ocean but had worked for the company that built parts for the Alvin .. he once told me that he did all the accounting for the parts (big smile) ... around the same time he went back to school to become a computer programmer. I was introduced to flowcharts and binary and machine language .. it was so exciting.. although I have no fondness for Fortran and Cobol LOL … the computer that my father worked on filled a large room! sadly he died before computers became a household necessity .. I know if he had he would have shared the same passion that I also have for the electronic beasties (grin) ..... thanks dad for turning me onto computers! (big smile) ps. He was also an artist (big smile) .... I’m also very proud of this work. It is only the 2nd image I rendered in XenoDream (big smile) 3D work done in XenoDream with post work in Gimp. It’s the colors she uses that I so much love that she’s shared with me (big smile) Connections was derived from Fish 1 ... if you haven’t seen it .. do go and have a look .. it gorgeous (big smile) Extensive work done in Gimp. A mermaid is a mythological aquatic creature with a female human head and torso and the tail of an aquatic animal such as a fish. Mermaids would sometimes sing to people and gods and enchant them, distracting them from their work and causing them to walk off the deck or run their ships aground. Other stories have them squeezing the life out of drowning men while attempting to rescue them. They are also said to take humans down to their underwater kingdoms. / +The first mermaid known to date is aphrodite the goddess of the waters the daughter of Zeus. / _I was fortunate enough to capture this beauty just before I re-surfaced…........ acrylic on fabric / Original For Sale /

Each morning that we awaken to the wonders that each new day brings, the wonders never cease to inspire gratitude… / During the past three winters here at Wind River Ranch, we’ve been blessed to witness the regal beauty of several eagles making our space their own residence as well. Watching them fishing for Chinook Salmon and Trout along the Naches River is poetry in motion and then there are the various species that seemingly get along and share territory. We have golden eagles and bald eagles as regular winter visitors here, besides so many other raptor species. / This bald eagle is perched in what my husband and I call the “Message Tree”, which sits between our cabin and the river. He didn’t seem to mind my coming outside (this time) to take a few shots. As is, other than cropping. / “Great wings outstretched in the wide skies, the eagle soars, majestic, bold – my heart cries out to the wise sky-traveler. He hears my plea. Illumination and truth come to me as his blessing.” DJ Conway
