  • / / The Silent Cry is a self-portrait taken from photographic artist Jaeda DeWalt’s The Abyss series and is a part of the DeWalt Gallery collection. Image shot using a digital camera and remote controlled shutter release. I love the way shadows can paint our face with emotions deep. About this image / Speaks to the sea of darkness, the silent cry and the quieter emotions, i so often hide, from the rest of the world. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / Available for sale as Laminated Prints, Matted Prints, Posters, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints / / Image featured in Self as Other group on 8-17-2009 / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / This image is featured in Jaeda’s Artography Book! / Shades of the Soul – Click to Preview! / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / browse Jaeda’s photographic art by category: / dreamscapes, artistic nudes, couples, glamour, erotica, conceptual, sensual, portrait, spiritual, survivor art / /

  • It’s my favourite flower photo I have taken to date. / I found this flower really expresses teenage angst, the tears in the bottom would usually make the flower look ugly. It’s like people tearing at your self esteem but the flower is still beautiful :)

  • These flowers are sitting on a shelf at my workplace and everytime I walked by them I thought there has to be a picture in there somewhere. I didnt want to take the usual flower shot so I took advantage of the dual wall colors and positioned this just so. I really like how this came out. The converging lines of the "corner" and colors really added a nice artsy touch along with the shadow play on the wall. /

  • I love the Willow Pattern….. I have fond memories of finding hundreds of broken willow pattern shards buried in the dirt near my home as a young child. It was the site of an old homestead that burnt to the ground many years before my time. / I’d spend hours digging in the dirt thinking I’d found some exotic treasure…..... “Two birds flying high, / A Chinese vessel, sailing by. / A bridge with three men, sometimes four, / A willow tree, hanging o’er. / A Chinese temple, there it stands, / Built upon the river sands. / An apple tree, with apples on, / A crooked fence to end my song.” / by Mary L. Stollard The Willow Pattern was designed by Thomas Minton around 1790, & has remained popular ever since. [canon 1000D, bamboo from sxc.hu] Featured – Nostalgic Art & Photography – June 2009 /

  • on my recent quick road trip through the back blocks of NSW to look at some property out near Mudgee I stayed over one night with a friend at Luguna which is near Wollombi…. a place made famous for it’s prehistoric pines…. anyway early in the mornings there are often heavy fogs that rise up out of the valley and while they burn of with the heat of the day… for those sweet still early moments they give such a beautiful peace to the country… this is what it looks like standing on top of the hill were the house is looking over on of the little dams across the to the valley beyond… so beautiful
