A storm is passing Gotland, an island in the Baltic Sea to the east of the Swedish mainland. The image is close to straight out of the camera with only some slight brightness and contrast changes.
This photo was taken during a colod spell with rain and sleet killing off the flowers.
Just a plum tree in my garden taken after rain using a tripod to try to get as sharp as possible.
Photograph. A wild rose bush after heavy rain. The sun came out and suddenly each droplet was shimmering with ‘secret information’...too beautiful to describe adequately. /
Whenever autumn spills into Mirror Lake, I start thinking of the red bridge.
A thunderstorm moves across the sky threatening the world below. Ontario, Canada.

The rain had left a unique design on the leaf of a rose bush~

From my collection: / Historic Hawaiian Bridges and Streams In the beautiful rainforest of Hana in a remote area on a private road below the Hana Highway, this is lower Mokulehua as it flows through Ulaino to the ocean nearby. It is so good to see water flowing in the stream today. / The Kanaka, Hawaiian families depend on this water. / In this stream are fresh water Shrimp we call Opai, fresh water fish we call O’opu, which is similar to a catfish, fresh water prawns, a larger Shrimp, fresh water Opihi called Hihiwai. And where Mokulehua enters the ocean it is called Poponi / This area is private land and one must have permission to enter. It is our wish that the streamflow will be restored to East Maui and the historic bridges of Maui will be preserved. Upcountry from here on the Hana Highway, the oldest bridge on Maui at Mokulehua was built in 1908, one of the bridges on the parts of Maui’s Hana Highway with historic designations (on the Federal Register of Historic Places, and in 1999 also named a National Millenium Legacy Trail). Those portions include most of state route 360 between Ha’iku and Hana, and part of county route 31 between Hana and Kipahulu, along Maui’s northeast coast. © 2009 Fine Art Photography by Sharon Mau On the Road to Hana This photograph cannot be modified for commercial or advertising use, nor can it be copied or reproduced in any form without the photographer’s permission. Kahn is a white Bengal Tiger. They are an endangered species. This was taken at the Virginia Safari Park through glass and in the rain. He didn’t seem to mind the rain at all. A pool is being built for him and a female there called Lily. Hopefully it will be finished by the next time I go. / FEATURED IN THE TIGER, TIGER GROUP

Ho’okipa Beach Sunrise Maui Hawai’i We had a minor earthquake last night. You may read about it in my journal This morning I awoke early. Jacob and I had coffee together outside on our lanai, and as I was gazing out over the rooftops toward Ho’okipa I saw a squall rolling in over the ocean. I told him I would be back soon, kissed him and told him I love him, grabbed my camera and equipment and drove down to Ho’okipa. I was the first one on the delta below. I stayed for about three hours as the sun rose in the sky and the colours and light appeared, listening to the rocking ocean as the / waves were rolling in like thunder. It was so beautiful. This shot was taken at around 10:30 overlooking the beach gazing toward Mauna Kahalawai, I’ao Valley and the West Maui mountains as I was preparing to return home upcountry. The weather today on Maui is absolutely gorgeous. Aloha kakahiaka, good morning Maui. The destructive Tsunami of 01 April 1946 completely altered the natural features of Ho’okipa. The beautiful beach lost much of it’s wide golden sand beach and most of the Hau trees were lost. The high lava rock seawall on the seaward edge was constructed to try and protect any further damage. Ho’okipa is also world renowned for surfing, wind surfing, kite boarding and international windsurfing competitions. There are strong currents here and most of the time it is not suitable for swimming unless you a very experienced. Longshore currents are often very strong and tend to run toward the high point at the west end of the beach, which appears to be near the horizon in this image.
