  • Our Delphinium petals fell into a puddle outside and I just thought they looked so beautiful and serene sitting there…

  • Here’s is an Iris from my garden. I got bored and had a play with the colours, would love to hear some opinions!

  • I know there’s beautiful ladybird images on RB but this is the first one I’ve ever taken so I though I would share anyway, this one was sitting on a fushia flower… This image has also been purchased as a matted print, thank you once again to the buyer :o)

  • I took this photo in my backyard after the rain today. I think it worked well as the flower seems to jump out from the contrasting blurry green background. Hope you all like it.

  • Flowers after Rain.

  • Red Tulips..Taken in my mums back garden, i kept the background nice and natural because i think everyone does flower shots with black or white/ plain backgrounds and this makes the image a little different

  • A white rose .A rose is always appropriate to give as a card. / /

  • I picked this rose out of my garden today (smells amazing by the way!!), decided to play around with lighting and this was the effect I achieved. Anyway, I like this one for a first attempt so I thought I will put this one up for a while to hopefully get some constructive criticism.. Also, I would love to know if this photo is to dark or light, I was trying to re-calibrate my monitor and I think I’ve might of messed it up! Anyway enjoy :o) P.S this photo is 100% natural… / Shot with Nikon D200

  • I was walking around Omotesando and Harajuku to kill some time before meeting a friend the other night and found this patch of cosmos flowers. Planted out in the street, behind them were the lights of a shop and a vending machine was providing some light from my side. Just beautiful. Got mesmerised for a good fifteen minutes by these flowers. Nikon D300 / 85mm f/1.4 AF D

  • My mom, Charmian, is the most AMAZING person – warm, talented, compassionate, energetic, accomplished, enthusiastic, sympathetic, witty, intelligent and loving. She can sail a yacht and play the drums. She cycles in bike races, and thinks nothing of cycling 80km just for fun. She can do woodwork, paint pictures and so many other things that I can’t list them all. And she can garden – her garden is extraordinary, full of lavish beauty and breathtakingly delightful. If I was any good at landscape photography I would have shown you just how good she is, but seeing as I’m not, I thought I would show you just one of the hundreds of stunning roses she grows. Taken after a morning of rain at her house in Magoebaskloof, South Africa. Camera Model Canon EOS 500D / Shooting Date/Time 2009/10/31 11:17:32 AM / Shooting Mode Manual Exposure / Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/125 / Av( Aperture Value ) 6.3 / ISO Speed 100 / Lens EF100mm f/2.8 Macro USM / Focal Length 100.0 mm

  • Another of my mom’s marvellous roses – her whole garden was just so beautiful after the rain that I couldn’t stop taking photographs, everything was so magically enhanced by the strings and strings of water drop beads. Camera Model Canon EOS 500D / Shooting Date/Time 2009/10/31 11:16:21 AM / Shooting Mode Manual Exposure / Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/125 / Av( Aperture Value ) 6.3 / ISO Speed 100 / Auto ISO Speed OFF / Lens EF100mm f/2.8 Macro USM / Focal Length 100.0 mm Processed using photoshop CS2 and Topaz DeNoise
