  • Photograph taken with Sony Cybershot early this morning – 20 May 2009. Other than cropping for redbubble the picture is as ‘real’ as it gets, ‘untouched’ and ‘as is’. The metal man had arrived and was reinforcing Alkatraz aka ‘The Den’ as my pooches have become little Houdini’s amongst other things. The sound of the drill scared them and they came to me for protection – being the evil mother that I am I left them sitting and tried to catch the moment. To get all six in one place and not chewing, fighting, digging or eating was simply beautiful. The title is inspired by a Nusrery Rhyme that my Nannan used to ‘play’ with me ….it fits perfectly … There were six in a bed / And the little one said / “Roll over, roll over” / So they all rolled over / And one fell out There were five in a bed…. / Lyrics courtesy The Teachers Guide ACRYLIC ART CALENDARS CARDS POETRY PHOTOGRAPHY – ANIMALS PHOTOGRAPHY -CANDID SHOTS PHOTOGRAPHY – CATS AND DOGS / CATS / DOGS PHOTOGRAPHY – CONTEMPORARY WORK PHOTOGRAPHY – FLOWERS PHOTOGRAPHY – INSECTS PHOTOGRAPHY – TRADITIONALLY TURKISH PHOTOGRAPHY – TREE AND TREE PARTS T-SHİRTS —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- / CATS ARE US / CHLOE / DIBLEY / KAR / MINTY / LINFORD / “LISA“ / “OLLIE“ / “OTHERS“ DOGS ARE US / BELA / CLYDE -ROTTWEILER PUP / LUCKY / MOLLIE -ROTTWEILER PUP / ROTTWEILER PUPS – THE FIRST FOUR WEEKS / ROTTWEILER PUPS – FOUR WEEKS AND ON / ROTTWEILER PUPS – EIGHT WEEKS AND COUNTING / TROY / “OTHERS“ ROTTWEILER PUPS A litter of 9 rottweiler puppies pups was born 24th March 2009. / Their mother is Bela and he father is Troy. / Taken with Sony Cybershot 14 May 2009. The smallest of the three boys – short haired with very big feet! The Rottweiler, or Rottweil Metzgerhund (“Butchers Dog”), is a “medium to large size, stalwart dog” breed originating in Germany as a herding dog. It is a hardy and very intelligent breed. Rottweilers also worked as draught dogs, pulling carts to carry meat and other products to market. “Rottweiler breeders aim at a dog of abundant strength, black coated with clearly defined rich tan markings, whose powerful appearance does not lack nobility and which is exceptionally well suited to being a companion, service and working dog.” The Rottweiler was kept busy in these traditional roles until the mid-19th century when railroads replaced droving for getting livestock to market. Although there are still Rottweilers working stock all over the world, many other roles have been found for this versatile breed. During the first and second World Wars, Rottweilers were put into service in various roles including as messenger, draught and guard dogs. Currently they are often used as search and rescue, assistance, guide dogs for the blind, guard and police dogs in addition to their traditional roles. Although an extremely versatile breed used in recent times for many other purposes, the Rottweiler is first and foremost one of the oldest, if not the oldest, of herding breeds. A multi-faceted herding and stock protection dog of exceptional ability, it is capable of working all kinds of livestock under a wide variety of conditions. The breed is an ancient one, whose history stretches back to the Roman Empire. In those times, the legions traveled with their meat on the hoof and required the assistance of working dogs to herd the cattle. One route the army traveled was through Württemberg and on to the small market town of Rottweil. The principal ancestors of the first Rottweilers during this time was supposed to be the Roman droving dog, local dogs the army met on its travels, and dogs with molosser appearance coming from England and The Netherlands. This region eventually became an important cattle area, and the descendants of the Roman cattle dogs proved their worth in both driving and protecting the cattle from robbers and wild animals. However, by the end of the 19th century as railroads became the main method for moving stock to market, the breed had declined so much that in 1900 there was only one female to be found in the town of Rottweil. • Featured in the “This is Relevant” and the “Good News” groups on the same day 6/21/09. WOW! My thanks to the Hosts / It has been written, it has been said… that God is the highest that our souls can reach, the highest vision that we can see within ourselves. That to atone is to be at one with creation, in essence to be in harmony with all that is. This then is in homage to the most high. In April, 2008 Steve Morton from Canada sent me an instrumental that he had written and recorded called “Rejoice” and asked me to try to come up with something. That same day his music inspired me to write the song “Rejoice.” I had purchased “Faces of Africa” and saw a photo of a little Masai girl leaping through the air in shear joy. It spoke perfectly to the spirit of the music and to the song. I drew my version of the picture with RoseArt colored pencils in honor of Drawing Day on June 6, 2009, and called it “Rejoice.” The image here was enhanced with Photoshop’s plastic filter and textured on canvas. The image and the song, to my mind, express harmony, inspiration and rejoicing. (Click the following title to hear the song) Rejoice! / Words & Melody written & performed by RoyAllenHunt / Music Composed & performed by Steve (Morty) Morton © April 28, 2008 When I woke up this morning and I opened up my eyes I took that first God given breath and with it I realized what a great, great joy it is just to be alive with the whole day in front of me to bring the dream to the light. Give us this day our daily bread, grant us grace not to war but live in peace instead, to love each other just as you have said and one voice that we may all sing and Rejoice. There’s no need to live in fear if we—to one rule adhere. Treat each other as sisters and brothers holding each other dear, loving while we can. We may not pass this way again. And what a shame should they leave before they understand in them we Rejoice. Some will not respond to the call. They may not come at all. But others will hear and echo too and in their thoughts and deeds, follow through and they too will - Rejoice - in everything they say. Rejoice every step along the way. Rejoice and pass this sure thing on. Rejoice and many will sing along. Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! / Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! They may not come at all. But others will hear you and in their thoughts and deeds they’ll follow through and they too will Rejoice - in everything they say. Rejoice every step along the way. Rejoice and then pass this sure thing on. Rejoice and many will sing along. Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice!

  • The Golden Elephant – story and art by Karin Taylor / A long long time ago in a tropical land where the papaya grow wild and free, there lived a golden elephant who’s beauty was unsurpassed. All the creatures were mesmerised by what appeared to be the sun entering the water when she swam and when she walked on the land everyone stepped aside, as elephants were revered. Legend has it, the golden elephant was once a beautiful warrior princess. Once, in midst of of a terrible battle with her enemy about to take her life, she made a wish that she could become an elephant, for then no harm would come to her. The beautiful warrior princess was granted her wish, tho could sadly not return to her human form, and so it was that the golden elephant lived forever, bringing warmth and light wherever she went. During the darkest nights when the stars hid and the moon disappeared, the beautiful golden elephant shone like the sun, lighting the way for pilgrims on their journey. Although very happy she got what she wished for, the golden elephant found herself still thinking the grass was sometimes greener on the other side. Indeed she would have liked to be human again. But she accepted her new role and did the best she could with her gift of light. The moral of the story – be careful what we wish for
