Thrilled at being asked to take some pictures for my friends who are expecting their fist child, I jumped at the chance and suggested something a little different to the shoot they may have been thinking of having at home… / Shot out in the desert, west of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on an overcast and windy day… work in post processing, sat in my warm house on an even more overcast and windy day… winters here! / Read my journal for a description of the day… crowds and all!

Mordron Is the Welsh Mother Goddess. / Our earth, we need to came to fundamentals. / We must remember where we come from. I used many fractals here. I wanted to depict the “unreal” part of this world representated by Her Mother. / Tool of the trade is Paint Shop Pro. / One photo of the model, then about 40 layers of fractals. arf arf… i cut and pasted a lot, above all to make the details of the dress. If you look closely you’ll also find a dandelion over the dress ;) I usually embedded the layers using various blend mode, my faves are soft light, hard light & overlay! / The bg is also made using various fractals, merged together thanx to blending ;) —-—-—-—-—-— My gallery is Copyright © Wandering Soul. Forget Me Not- Worked in Photoshop. / At first glance the ‘forget me not’ is a tiny plant that you could walk by and hardly notice. But on closer inspection like most things from mother nature it is absolutely beautiful. I think I did her justice Canon 400D – 100mm 2.8 macro lens- photoshop CS3 /

[portrait taken in Natural Light] : 16/11/2008 [AS IS] I was walking from one village to the next, in Remote Nigeria. one of the team noticed this young girl following us for some time. I stopped and spoke to her through an interpretor. We learned that she was 13 years old and caring for three younger Sisters. As she told us here story, I Felt compelled to return to her village. There we met her three younger sisters in the most extreme poverty. Both Parents were dead and no other living relatives. We spoke to the village Chief and the elders who pleaded with us to help the family. We did, as God lead us to and blessed her with clothing, and the following day we sent two of our field workers to meet with her and now they have a small regular income from our mission funds. UPDATE 5-8-2009. Mary is now at School. We pay her school fees adn her three younger sisters are well and happy. We need help with Susan, aged 9. She wants to go to school also. We need help with school fees, uniform adn text books. Can you help? will you Help? The Golden Elephant – story and art by Karin Taylor / A long long time ago in a tropical land where the papaya grow wild and free, there lived a golden elephant who’s beauty was unsurpassed. All the creatures were mesmerised by what appeared to be the sun entering the water when she swam and when she walked on the land everyone stepped aside, as elephants were revered. Legend has it, the golden elephant was once a beautiful warrior princess. Once, in midst of of a terrible battle with her enemy about to take her life, she made a wish that she could become an elephant, for then no harm would come to her. The beautiful warrior princess was granted her wish, tho could sadly not return to her human form, and so it was that the golden elephant lived forever, bringing warmth and light wherever she went. During the darkest nights when the stars hid and the moon disappeared, the beautiful golden elephant shone like the sun, lighting the way for pilgrims on their journey. Although very happy she got what she wished for, the golden elephant found herself still thinking the grass was sometimes greener on the other side. Indeed she would have liked to be human again. But she accepted her new role and did the best she could with her gift of light. The moral of the story – be careful what we wish for
