Hehe. This is my fave from the lot.
Thank you to all of you who have donated and prayed for little Grace. She is now in good health and has made a great recovery. Praise God, I am so happy right now. Grace and other children who suffer so much Inspires me to work 12-14 hours per day sharing their plight with others and fund-raising.. I have not had the good fortune of ever having a salary for what I do. but God rewards me in many other ways. To see a child tat would have died now live and smile is wonderful. To empower the poor with more than just hope is what I live and work for. In Tunga/Zuga village, a remote village in Kebbe state Nigeria, there are so many children who are without ANY source of help. The village has no source of clean water, since their well collapsed in 2006. Intestinal worm infections, river Blindness, Chronic Diarrhoea, Malnutrition and other preventable diseases are killing and disabling many. We are making a difference and with your Prayers, Donations and support we can not only save their lives, refurbish the old school adn give them education. If it had not been for your prayers and donations for Grace, she would certainly have died. I am deeply thankful to you all. We can make a difference. / Please continue to donate and support these precious people and this mission. You are part of Gods end time plan. For all you techys out there…this is a back to basics image…This portrait shot of Natasha is straight off the camera…no colour balance…no skin retouch..no tweeks at all…she even did her own make-up! I was pleased with this shot as I was trying a new lighting set up…using the camera remote. I will use the technique for a make-up shoot coming up. Venus, Face #3. A digital interpretation of one / of the most beautiful faces ever created, / Botticelli’s ‘Venus’, from ‘Botticelli’s Ladies’, by / Norval Arbogast. I tryed to keep the features as / close to the original painting as possible, but / made the hair very ‘Mucha-esque and super / saturated the color. I also hardened the eyes / and added the adornments of her profession. / She’s seen the harder side of life, but the / natural beauty shines through. Note: I just got a reproduction back, the color is outstanding. The brilliant luminescent color you see on screen is what you will get. For that bright flash of color or as a conversation piece in your decor use a small ‘Mounted Print’ on a plate easel, chic. Framed Print
Who is Silvia? what is she, / That all our swains commend her? / Holy, fair, and wise is she; / The heaven such grace did lend her, / That she might admirèd be. / Is she kind as she is fair? / For beauty lives with kindness. / Love doth to her eyes repair, / To help him of his blindness, / And, being helped, inhabits there. / Then to Silvia let us sing, / That Silvia is excelling; / She excels each mortal thing / Upon the dull earth dwelling: / To her let us garlands bring...Shakespeare Watercolour on Arches Not Paper FEATURED IN THE FOLLOWING GROUPS… / CREATIVE CARDS.. / IMPRESSIONIST ART / FINE ART / The Riddle / Illusion / The Wish / Virtue / The Party / The Beauty / The Star / The Night / The Temptation / The Quiet / The Plea / Le Maquillage
Reflections of sins aren’t sins. / Your past doesn’t live in your mirror. / Check it out, that shiny thing: it’s not equal to you, / even though it appears that way. / It’s a shimmer and a moment of light. / What are you? / You’re yesterday’s milk and honey. / You’re last year’s pie in the sky. / You’re more real than your mirror. / You’re tomorrow’s desire. Your mirror falsifies. / Your mirror pretends to be you. / It steals your light and bends it just so. / But if you look… / if you SEE… / Your mirror’s lifemask will be revealed. / You’ll see how it degrades the images of your life, / how each copy is less than than the one before. Glance at it, if you must, but then walk away. / After all, it’s only smoke….and lies. The inequity of self-judgment irritates the heck out of me. We NEVER have a clear idea of what and who we are, if we use others’ opinions as a guide. Today I’m going to try harder to stay secure in my own knowledge. Two photoimages and a fractal edited in Photoshop Elements 3. / It you look EVERY closely you’ll see that one side of this mirror image is lying.

.Please Read this. This really was a special moment for me. I never knew that Lenti and the other children in this village had never seen a Biscuit/cookie before. She looked at it for almost 3 minutes and only began to eat it when she saw a member of our mission staff eat hers. Lenti is a precious little girl who was very ill when she came to our Mission Centre. Medicines alone just could not save her life. We prayed and trusted God to heal her and he did. We provided lots of Love and High Protein biscuits/cookies and Multi-vitamins, provided by you, whom we and the Lord depend upon. This gives me so much joy and drives me even harder to raise the funds to save and bless many more like Lenti. / My Passion and inspiration is God given, and although I lack Finances, it has never stopped me blessing these children. As St. Luke (who was a physician) said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, ...” / +Luke 4: 18 + This is a success story and with your help we can make many more success stories. A New DVD showing them being distributed and lots more scenes has just been made and I will hopefully show some clips on the Charity website soon. I give God thanks for Michael and all who have made this possible. “Spellbound” is part of the Winter and Portrait Collection…the painting captures the feeling of submitting ones own will to the tyrannical demands of the storm….my portrayal is one of a goddess of winter…with the red berries in her hair, she embodies its stillness, its sense of silence, darkness, and bitter cold..the falling snow is a “poem of the air,” wrote Longfellow, where the “troubled sky reveals the grief it feels.” / Winter is a time to concentrate on renewing and affirming human relationships. The giant trees are bending / Their bare boughs weighed with snow. / And the storm is fast descending, / And yet I cannot go. Well as you can see from the images below, The Empty Studio has been all about inks…my inks had been put away for so long some of them had dried out, and had to be discarded, but I still have an assortment of acrylic inks, and have been using mostly sepia and black for this collection… Today I added a bit of colour to this latest painting of Hollyhocks…they seemed to need it…I’ve had the sketch forever in my files, and I don’t know where it originated, but at one time I did grow these regal flowers in my garden and maybe the idea came from that time of my life Acrylic Inks on Cotton Paper… Silently a flower blooms, / In silence it falls away; / Yet here now, at this moment, at this place, / The world of the flower, the whole of / the world is blooming. / This is the talk of the flower, the truth / of the blossom: / The glory of eternal life is fully shining here. / - Zenkei Shibayama..
