Sales of this Design? – 5 sales so far :) / / / ’’Asian Series’ card by Karin Taylor Sea Poppy is a dear little oriental nymph like creature who rides the wild oceans on the back of a dreamy dolphin. What a life! She is a mixed media production (ink, pastel, charcoal) imbued with love and affection by her creator.
Not often do you see these Bluebottles fully inflated and so very colourful. / This was one of a few on the beach of the Red Bluff at Lake Tyers Beach, Victoria , Australia.
My new wolf friend seemed to like having his pictures taken – he stared “up close and personal” right into the lens. I believe it is only fitting to donate the proceeds of the sale of this image to a park that more than 200 wolves call home! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
When I gave the title to this photo, I could just imagine Ted’s disbelief: “Oh, silly Terri,” he’d write, “It can’t be deep freeze. It must be late fall or early spring even though ALL weather channels say it’s early March and the average temp that day was -35˚c. They must ALL be wrong, wrong, wrong…!” :) :) :) This was taken the same day with the photo of “camp pathfinder” in Algonquin Park – my favorite wilderness park to date. :)
This creature is strutting around with beauty and confidence. Therefore, I thought the title, “Sex Appeal” would be appropriate. This piece is a little different for me, but I am pretty happy with it! When I started this piece, I was just practicing drawing with pen. I started and had planed to do a portrait. However, on mistake lead to another, and on line gave me a “vision” (if that is the right word) for an eye on the body of an ostrich. I plan to do some sort of series of the creature, Cyclostrich. My friend Stephen came up with the name and kind of inspired this piece :D

His name is Rainbow and he is so funny! I was speaking softly to him telling him how beautiful he is when he suddenly fluffed out his feathers in response! If Macaw could smile, this is what it would look like, he is an intelligent and wonderfully expressive creature. Colourful Green Winged Macaw / Wahine’e Puohokamoa Valley / Garden of Eden / Maui Hawai`i Canon Digital Rebel XTi Easily distinguished from amazons and cockatoos by their bare facial patch and long pointed tail, the Macaw family comprises one of the most extravagantly coloured in the bird world. There are several variations of the Scarlet, most notably an uncommon variety with emerald green on the wing along with the yellow, and the more common wide patch of yellow. Their declining populations in the wild continues to cause great concern for tropical environmentalists. Macaw are flamboyant, colourful, and captivating birds. Their personalities are legendary. Because of their great beauty and engaging personalities, they have been kept in captivity for centuries. In fact, in the United States, they were kept by the Pueblo Indians since 1100 A.D. where they prized the Scarlet Macaw. Traveling through Africa, you are aware that driving slowly opens up those opportunities for sightings. Never did I think that I would be fortunate enough to come across such a small and delicate creature. I saw it for a split second, reversed and then discovered it was taking it’s time so no need to rush. As this gorgeous small creature jerked and danced across the road, I sat and watched in awe. Not only was it’s prehensile tail waving at me, the eyes were keeping me quite entertained. Which eye do I look at, they kept moving and twitching – it was so gorgeous and the moment felt like hours. Then it scampered off into the scrubs.
Blown me down with a feather! The lioness and lion in this photo were behaving so much like humans I was dazed and confused. Surprisingly there was not a moment that I was scared or concerned. Maybe I was watching their courtship, but in fact I truly felt as though there was a moment that they knew were were connected and understanding each other. Their display of affection had me moved to pieces and inspired to be a more giving person. One always has MORE room to grow and give. Moment like this just unlock that part of you. Kisses last a life time.

Each Who Sings Now? poem I have written is inspired by a Teacher found in Nature; a tree, star, animal, stone, etc. from which we can learn so many priceless lessons… if we only take the time to listen. Many people enjoy trying to guess which Teacher inspired the poem before going on to read about them in detail. Can you guess who is singing?
Hoku’ala ‘o Pa’ako / Ascending Star / Pa’ako Beach Makena Maui Hawai’i This beautiful child was swimming and playing in the ocean with her mother and two sisters, one of which is an identical twin sister. She is one of the most beautiful children I have ever seen. She is like a princess with the face of an angel. I cloned and replaced the background and applied a Gaussian Blur, then a selective DOF application to soften the background more. Hawaiian Translation ~ Literally “child of the land, or born in the land”. Host, native, acquainted, familiar. / This is an important concept in Hawaiian culture. / If a Kanaka (a Hawaiian) calls you a “kama’aina ” , they have just paid you a very nice compliment. / You don’t have to be born here to be one … it’s an attitude.
