My new wolf friend seemed to like having his pictures taken – he stared “up close and personal” right into the lens. I believe it is only fitting to donate the proceeds of the sale of this image to a park that more than 200 wolves call home! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park

’’Asian Series’ card by Karin Taylor Sea Poppy is a dear little oriental nymph like creature who rides the wild oceans on the back of a dreamy dolphin. What a life! She is a mixed media production (ink, pastel, charcoal) imbued with love and affection by her creator.

Stink Beetles is from an original painting by Karin Taylor. / The original painting won a prize at the Horizons Art Gallery in South Tweed Heads, Northern NSW and subsequently sold at same exhibition. / This was terrific fun to create…...in the end i added googly eyes that you can buy from the craft shop…..and they move around if you shake the painting… lol / there’s lashing of ink, pastel, acrylic and charcoal on this painting, layers and layers of fun and gigantic mess was created in the process…..but from the chaos out came these lovely luminescent beetles that my heart adores….ever since i was little, i have been fascinated with some aspects of nature, particularly beetles, lizards, flowers, cats, foxes, baby birds….i am but a dreamer :) of all these, stink beetles were perhaps my favourite, because of their magnificent shields of luminescent/iridescent colour glinting in the sun as they paraded up and down the tree trunks and either side of the leaves, fascinating creatures….....thought it an appropriate one for Easter Sunday…new life and all that~

Wild deer in Yosemite National Park – USA I spent ages with a group of these deer. Walked slowly to approach, after approx 15 mins i was surrounded by them, couldn’t shoot as they were too close, one just 10cm away, so we just hung out together until the cold drove me inside. Was a beautiful experience. They have the most gorgeous eyes :)) I loved every minute in Yosemite. Hybrid dolphins (Wolphins) Information from the Wikepedia Encyclopedia Online : / In 1933, three abnormal dolphins were beached off the Irish coast; these appeared to be hybrids between Risso’s Dolphin and the Bottlenose Dolphin.[3] This mating has since been repeated in captivity and a hybrid calf was born. In captivity, a Bottlenose Dolphin and a Rough-toothed Dolphin produced hybrid offspring.[4] A Common-Bottlenose hybrid lives at SeaWorld California [5] and another one lives at Discovery Cove in Orlando. Various other dolphin hybrids have also been reported in the wild, such as a Bottlenose-Atlantic Spotted hybrid.[6] The best known hybrid however is the Wolphin, a False Killer Whale-Bottlenose Dolphin hybrid. The Wolphin is a fertile hybrid, and two such Wolphins currently live at the Sea Life Park in Hawaii, the first having been born in 1985 from a male False Killer Whale and a female Bottlenose. Wolphins have also been observed in the wild.[7] / Wolphin

The gorgeous male duck stood proudly as though it was summer while it was almost -40˚c! Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada Thought the colorful duck would like to contribute to the protection of his natural environment. :)

My new wolf friend was determined to teach me how to howl after our shared lunch. He very “tenderly” took half of my sandwich from my offering hand with his mouth, lay it down on the ground and ate it layer by layer, slowly and savoringly, unlike my dog River, who would ALWAYS “wolf down” whatever is offered to her! :) So now he set out, just a few feet away, raised one front leg a tiny bit for emphasis and howled. I got down on all fours, copied the posture and did the same. Obviously he was a little dissatisfied with my learning so he repeated the whole thing another time. And this time he was happy with his pupil. What a patient teacher I had! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

There were many ducks in the little “live” stream that was surrounded by thick ice and deep snow and I caught three close-ups. Both males were looking towards the less colorful female and she was the only one who tried to look through the ice at her own reflection! So I thought perhaps narcissism does not only exist among mankind…. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.

The fawn looked as though she could not be more than a month old as her fur was all soft to touch and fluffy. She moved slowly and gently and looked into the lens, as if to say, “Hi, my name is Baby Fluffy”. :) I thought she was the cutest of all as she has long eye lashes and shinny tender eyes. And of course I’m pretty sure my “Baby Fluffy” would not mind if I donate the earning from her pretty face to save her environment. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada
