Taken looking south to Wollongong from Providential Point, Royal National Park, just south of Sydney Australia. / This is my first attempt at a multi-exposure blend. This image is a combinations of 57 X 30sec exposures using the fantastic Startrails Photoshop Action that you can download free from this excellent site: / www.schursastrophotography.com/software/photoshop/startra… I was put on to this action by Dave Burrow whose amazing startrails image can be seen here: / http://www.redbubble.com/people/davidburrows/art/321722-3-startrails The brilliant thing about this PS action is that the longest exposure you need to take is 30sec and so it virtually eliminates the noise problem of conventional long exposure startrails. You can imagine how much noise this shot would have as a 30min exposure. / The straight lines are some of 9 planes that flew through these exposures over the half-hour I was taking them – amazingly consistent flight paths. It got so busy I had to delete some of the planetrails, hence the little gaps in the startrails.

I wished my 350D had see-through capability. Now the mountains that beseige this spectacular city make this shot look like it’s in a bowl. It costed us HKD15 to get on the platform to get this view. Whatever happened to the free stuff in this world nowadays? / - – - / Taken at the Peak, Hong Kong. It felt like 5C up there, I swear. / / MORE WORKS FROM MY PORTFOLIO /

I love walking around the side streets of Hobart. I wish I could live in Salamanca, such a beautiful place.

Shot from the Mount of Olives. / “Ten measures of beauty descended on the world – Jerusalem has taken nine and one the rest of the world.” (A quote from the Talmud)

The transcendental art of fire dancing, combined with a backdrop of stark, urban-industrial desolation. / The background represents the state of one’s life (like the inside of their mind) and the subject twirling fire represents the transmuting of this apathy of existence into the realization that there is so much more to life and the Universe than what is going on in their head.

mixed media work created on 03-03-03 …..newsprint…tracing paper….sheet music…etc. and acrilic paint. this piece was painted for a show….the BIG ART MAUI event. it didn’t make the show and so….. i get to enjoy her! awakening to the reality that we all are subject to be caught….hooked…pulled in by something we are not awake to OUR LESSON. we also wear hooks….to see or not to see…............

This picture was taken from Valletta – a very high point on the island. Ahead are the three cities with original bastions and canons still in place. / The blue of the sea is genuine – no editting – just gorgeous mediterranean sea. / The place is Malta.

An interesting vine I came across in Salamanca. Captured in infrared.

Prague is an exceptionally beautiful city. This shot was taken from Charles Bridge, towards Prague Castle. I was glad there was an overcast sky, as it makes this image more dramatic to me. Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed it. Perhaps you would also like this one: /

Eiffel Tower view at night from Pont Alexandre III. Pont Alexandre III is an arch bridge that spans the Seine, connecting the Champs-Élysées quarter and the Invalides and Eiffel Tower Quarter, regarded by many as one of the prettiest in Paris. The bridge, with its exuberant Art Nouveau lamps, cherubs, nymphs and winged horses at either end, was built between 1896 and 1900. It was named after Tsar Alexander III (father of Nicholas II) of Russia. It was Nicholas II who laid the foundation stone in October 1896. The style of the bridge reflects that of the Grand Palais, to which it leads on the right bank. The construction of the bridge is a marvel of 19th century engineering, consisting of a 6m high single span steel arch. The design was subject to strict controls that prevented the bridge from obscuring the view of the Champs-Élysées or the Invalides. The bridge was built by the engineers Résal and Alby and inaugurated in 1900 for the Universal Exhibition. Classified as historical monument, four gold-covered bronze statues hover over the bridge, on the top of 17 meter columns, representing “Renommées” standing close to Pegasus.
