Piece of driftwood with a unique shape. Bright daisies covered in dew were added for color.

Black tomcat peeping through a hole in the old barn.
Old barn with a new look. A BIG Thank-You goes to Kimberly Palmer for giving this old barn a new look. The county wants to tear this barn down. They claim it is an eye-sore… so sad. It has so much character!
Little girl smelling a spring blossom in a watering can.
When his fellow ninja buddies saw him heading off to his battle carrying a couple cherry pies, they really should have tried to stop him. I mean, seriously…there’s no point in having friends if your’re going to have friends like that. Am I right? Of course I’m right.
Old dilapidated barn with rustic red doors. This old barn will be torn down sometime this month. Someone in the neighborhood complained that it was an “eye sore”.... so sad! Image was redone for me in HDR by Kimberly Palmer.
An autumn leaf from a tree in my front yard, with the sunlight shining through.

The one and only converse all star, worn out to perfection.
...depression comes crawling back, sucking the life out from within, and tearing your world apart from without…
Inspired by my involvement and responses to the situations, stories, and feelings of the men I meet and converse with in my work as a counsellor. “I can’t take it anymore. / This wound, this pain, / this feeling has beaten me again, / and it won’t just disappear, / These feelings are back, / and I am consumed by my fear.”
Another macro of studs in an old and very weather beaten oak door. / Taken with a Pentax k20D and a Sigma 50 mm 1:2.8 macro. / In contrast to “Stud”, this is a “head on” shot. / Here again, the picture itself is untouched, witht he black frame added for “dramatic emphasis”. / Seen with my German/ Irish soul through my Irish eyes ;o) here in Germany, in a place called the “Hohe Acht”, a windy place near the Nuerburg Ring, 800 metres above sea level, not far from where we live. / Eva

I saw this beat up old car on my trip to Lake Mungo. Quite an arid area. Especially now, as parts of south eastern Australia are now in drought. At the time in January, there had been so little rain that the normal grass cover had died and revealed the red earth underneath. It’s a very bumpy journey, and almost undrivable in the wet due to the clay soils. Nikon F90x / Fuji Velvia 100 Imacon Flextight 949 scan / (AVAILABLE IN LARGE SIZE CANVAS, PRINTS, ETC )
Back then only the truck was beaten and battered. Now the entire company resembles this …. Sure hope someone will throw that life ring!
Canon 50D + Sigma 10-20mm / 10 second exposure @ f16 / Exposure and Shadow adjusted in Adobe Lightroom. I do like Piers. This one looks like it’s seen better days though. I don’t know how long it will still be (barely) standing. A little busy these days, will hopefully look at all the new work shortly. Enjoy your week!
A little known area of Outstanding beauty in… Well I obviously can’t tell you that! Okay twist my arm, It’s a place called Cobbald Gorge in Far North Queensland.

After spending the day with some fellow Keystone State group members at Rickett’s Glen, we looked for “The House on the Left” on the way home. This old abandoned place is on Route 487, a rural road near Benton, PA. Taken 10/26/09 I combined two layers – one clear and one out of focus and an airbrush eraser to create this image.
