i noticed this evening that no one in my watchlist (which, i admit, isn’t the most extensive or varied one) has posted new work for almost a full 24 hours. has everyone had such a great or awful day that you all forgot about redbubble? did you all lose your inspiration for today? did you have so much fun that you are sooo satisfied that you don’t need to say anything? are you (heaven forbid) speechless? i hope not. or so, depending on whether your day was bad (hoping not) or good (hoping so). i miss your amazing stories and artworks that make me ask; why? and what? while i’m journaling i would like to wish yasemin luck and good fortune and all the happiness in the universe while she sets up her home. i can’t wait to read what she writes in an environment that she has created entirely for herself.

This is special to me because it was one of my first attempts to do something special and creative!! :) Make a Wish was featured in the group Candid Photographs of Friends and Family Thanks guys. The opening starts at 6pm – it’s a group show featuring a bunch of local artists including one of my pieces. There will be music and other kinds of performance art there too. I found this Report on the Heraldsun website It may help some people to understand an arsonist …. / It didn’t help me forgive but it helps a bit for me to understand him! / Although I can understand the man’s dissappointment for being an enigma and not allowed to join the CFA I cannot understand why he was able to become this self possessed obsessed fire fennatic / We his community failed him but nowhere near as much as his family and his loved ones did! To the workings of the bigger picture, the completion of the finest jigsaw, every piece is important; every job is important every person is important / We need to make sure even the enigmas know this / Perhaps then they will refrain from burning us down! / Chookas! xXx

Hi all…have been fiendishly busy the last few months, I promise I’ll check everyone’s new art out soon. In the meantime, lots happening. Firstly: Gallery 696 in Brunswick is having a birthday show tomorrow night (April 1st) from 6-9pm. / Lots of us have painted a greyscale piece to match the new graf wall art, and some matchboxes – yep, painting on matchboxes. Here’s a sneak peek of mine: Flyer for the show: / Secondly: I’m in Curvy!! Curvy is a yearly compilation of female artists and designers from around the world – produced by YEN magazine. / I’m pleased to be a featured artist in it with an interview, and there’s a launch happening in Sydney this thursday night (April 2nd) at Mori Gallery from 8-11pm, 168 Day street. I have three pieces in this show, looks like a doozy. / More info and pics from last year’s launch are here. If you’re in Syd, come by! Thirdly: Gallery 696 are having a ladies show, April 8th – 15th. I’m putting 3 pieces in this one. I’ve taken one or two photos whilst high as a kite on the medication, but basically they’re just portraits of me looking stoned out of my mind (one of them is with the Piglet, both of us with the wild-giggles and maniacal grins). I’ll prolly post one just for shits and giggles. / Maybe throw up an old piece or two for the hell of it. So, don’t be mad if i’m not visiting as much (never mind my lack of creative mojo). Hi all…I’m most excited to invite the Melbourne bubblers to my show, opening on the 2nd of October: It’s my first solo show in 2 years and I have been working SO hard to make it awesome. I’m showing about 25 pieces – mostly canvas, some framed paper works too…you can also buy prints, badges and cards. As you can guess from the title…fish themes, but a few landlubber friends will make an appearance. An explosion of fins, masks, tentacles, rockets and hearing trumpets awaits!
