  • This is to show the happy side of the poor bear a couple of images ago. CathieT had asked about it, so I thought I’d put one up. / It wasn’t quite the style I was aiming for, but at least you can see him smiling :)

  • Read all about this character and all the rest of the “Lighter Side of Dark’ gang in the new series by Paul Rees-Jones and Shannon Rene’ Justice! Available for purchase online!

  • ...prepare for a big surprise… even big girls love bears!

  • Old Teddy, much patched and worn, lacking stuffing and fur

  • This was done as a small “in between” thing while taking breaks from revision. My friend Coolness Bears (who has an account here but doesn’t actually make any art =P ) suggested I draw a teddybear on a balloon. So here it is! / As always, if any tweaks are needed, let me know! Kind of reminds me of my Freedom drawing (girl on a balloon), which I hadn’t thought about at first. Done from scratch in Illustrator. Small design available here. /

  • We’re expecting our first bub. I had an idea to use toys we’ve bought for him in landscapes and hang them in his nursery. / This is my first one, and I want to do a couple more. / I just kinda liked the idea of him playing with the actual toys that are in the pics hanging on his walls. / Got some odd looks from dawn joggers though. / Taken in Sandgate, Brisbane Qld. Australia.

  • “It’s hard to visualize the toys you had fifty years ago – all save bear. • “An experienced Teddy Bear brings with him a lifetime of knowledge and experience; the wisdom of silence and the stillness in moments of great turmoil. The long-suffering patience that is learned when belonging to a child who is coming of age, and coping with the bewilderment that this period of time can bring, is what he does best. The experienced bear has seen life through the heart and eyes of a child grown to adulthood and perhaps even accompanied that adult all the way to the end of the road.” -Ted Menton

  • Never judge someone by who he’s in love with; judge him by his friends. People fall in love with the most appalling people. Take a cool, appraising glance at his pals. Cynthia Heimel
