Showing the new bear :)
We’re expecting our first bub. I had an idea to use toys we’ve bought for him in landscapes and hang them in his nursery. / This is my first one, and I want to do a couple more. / I just kinda liked the idea of him playing with the actual toys that are in the pics hanging on his walls. / Got some odd looks from dawn joggers though. / Taken in Sandgate, Brisbane Qld. Australia.
This is to show the happy side of the poor bear a couple of images ago. CathieT had asked about it, so I thought I’d put one up. / It wasn’t quite the style I was aiming for, but at least you can see him smiling :)
...prepare for a big surprise… even big girls love bears!

This was done as a small “in between” thing while taking breaks from revision. My friend Coolness Bears (who has an account here but doesn’t actually make any art =P ) suggested I draw a teddybear on a balloon. So here it is! / As always, if any tweaks are needed, let me know! Kind of reminds me of my Freedom drawing (girl on a balloon), which I hadn’t thought about at first. Done from scratch in Illustrator. Small design available here. /
Teddy bear vs doll
Acrylic On Canvas For those who may not be that familiar with Phoebe, she’s a patchwork bunny doll and the baby of the trio. She enjoys putting on all kinds of quirky caps and hats, she is never seen without them! And of course that earring on that left ear, she’s quite proud of it, she likes to think of herself as the funkiest patchwork bunny around :D Here she is….lugging her favourite toys around, finding someone to share her toys with :D / / You can view or buy my other “Phoebe’s Playtim” creations from my Zazzle Gallery: /
This bear is dedicated to Kelly and her little one.
“It’s hard to visualize the toys you had fifty years ago – all save bear. He’s as clear as if he were sitting on the desk in front of you…of course…he probably is.” / -Pam Brown / FEATURED IN: Nostalgic Art and Photography / TOP 10 IN A CHALLENGE: Set of Two / FEATURED IN: #12 Great Features
Never judge someone by who he’s in love with; judge him by his friends. People fall in love with the most appalling people. Take a cool, appraising glance at his pals. Cynthia Heimel
