This is a Brittany – a medium size gundog originating from France. They are known for their intelligence and outgoing nature. This dog was on the beach on a windy day. He has lifted his head into the wind and is taking in the scents from the bushland beyond the sand, a typical Brittany trait. Artwork also available as a Birthday Card /

The wild surf continuously came up and teased this surfer as he stood on the shore contemplating his decision to venture into huge, storm generated swells and waves at Bells Beach.
Sand Dune on Inverness Beach Nova Scotia Canada on a windy day. About 2 miles north of “Dune”.
Another long exposure from a stone beach along the west coast of the Oslofjord. This fabulous black stone is for some reason almost flat in contrast to all the other round shaped rocks on the beach.

In between storms today I made this. I fled the Jersey shore once in the mid-1980s during a hurricane….. drove through high water, yowling winds, and streets that were full of frogs to get free of the eye wall. When I finally made it home (85 miles away) I had nightmares for a couple of weeks. The place I had been staying didn’t look anything like this place, but the nightmare one did. And the nightmares were calm, no hurricane. Just Doom sitting on my chest, stopping my heart and blocking my view of the ocean. You know? Four photoimages combined.
A bit of a late night experiment, let me know what you think. This was taken on A recent visit to Burns Beach, which is A beach located in the far Northern part of the Perth metropolitan area. It was a stormy and windy winters afternoon, but the sun did manage to get though the clouds for a few minutes, giving me enough time to capture the rays of light breaking though the clouds. Canon EOS 500D.
A kite surfer enjoying the strong off shore wind at Sandhaven Beach in South Shields. The sun kept breaking through the cloud cover, catching the white of his kite, while the clouds also provided this wonderful backdrop. Converted into a pinhole black and white effect Best viewed large. PS apologises to my thirds mentor
