A special thanks to Dale Crum for the inspiration and the title…. stock credit: / MJRANUM for the wrestlers, / and faestock for the beach scene “Poison –BY—Love” / BY: Dale Crum / Betrayal… the blackest of black… and vilest of vile / When love abscesses… and festers a while / Blood smeared grins… unseen in the night / Sinking mud up to chins… embedding our plight / Wings snapping to pieces… and feathers on fire / Believing we trusted… false waters grew higher / Foaming up putrid lies… blinding our eyes / Curved fraudulent fangs… piercing our thighs Bleeding our soul… of the poisons of love / Lest ye never again… know the cooing of doves / For the fruit of the evil… putrefies all the rest / Forced holding of cards… all too close to the chest / Now therein lies the rub… Oh to trust once again / Of black flapping wings… wrenching back weary chins / Then how shall we conquer… this fear of the fire / When a stirring is heard… of wet embers desire? If we no longer venture… toward the warmth of heat / For dread of the burning… of betrayal’s repeat / Then do they win… those who ripped out our hearts / And keep us from feeling… romantic knew starts / How could we allow… them to steal more our joy / When we are no longer their… whimpering toy / So rise up from the muck… and wash off the mire / May our cooperative venture… new lovers inspire!

I know that in an artistic sense this is quite simple, however to me it has great meaning. The image is of my two boys who are also the best of friends. They have an unbreakable bond and here, they are doing something they love; just being together.

Yes, they are my feet and I’m relaxing on the beach watching the kids play in the water. I gave this image some texture and it reminds me of a very lazy, Aussie summer’s day at the beach.

On a recent trip to Geelong I was walking along the beachside at sunrise and there were stranded Jellyfish like this guy everywhere… Some as blue as this, others white/clear..

Took this a couple of weeks ago of my little girl at the beach and realised it’s potential this morning when I started to play with the colour, light and layers so of course I though that I would share!
