The restaurant is located next to the beach in the next bay south of the resort of Cala Llonga, Ibiza, roughly a mile away at the other side of the headland. The beautiful and very quiet Cala Mitjana Beach on Menorca’s South coast is a delight. Situated down a small rocky track off the road from Ferreries to Cala Galdana, on the left hand side just before Cala Galdana but at the end lies an idyllic south facing cove, bounded by wooded cliffs. NOW REMEMBER, KEEP THIS TO YOURSELF, THIS IS OUR SECRET, WE DON’T WANT EVERYONE TURNING UP HERE. Menorca is one of the Spanish Balearic islands, and lies off the coast of Spain in the Western Mediterranean. Porto Christo Harbour. On the eastern coast of Mallorca (Majorca) in the Balearic Islands, lies the ancient fishing village of Porto Cristo, located in a long bay where the El Rivet river meets the sea, it is now a popular holiday resort with a quiet, friendly atmosphere. Boasting the finest sheltered harbour on Mallorca’s east coast, Porto Cristo was formerly a significant naval base and it was the only town on Mallorca to see action during the Spanish Civil War, when Republican troops landed in 1936 in an attempt to take control of Mallorca from General Franco and his Nationalists, the attack failed and the island remained under Franco’s thumb for the rest of the war. Cala Romantica, (s’Estany d’en Mas) was the first beach to be developed in this area near Porto Cristo on the Island of Majorca. Previously it had been a solitary area because of the mosquitoes living in the swampy area at the mouth of Torrent des Morts, which runs down to the same beach and has its source on the side of Puig de sa Bandera (333 m).
