Taken on Scenic Drive. Carmel, California. November, 2007. There’s an interesting story behind this photograph, and #244, “Scenic & 8th. I was in a local camera store in Carmel, the manager of the store was telling me my camera was a toy because it wasn’t a high priced SLR, like he seels in the store. Obviously this annoyed me because i knew what my camera was capable of doing. So I left the store, walked down toward the beach, saw these Cypress trees, and took these shots in about five minutes. / I then walked back up to the camera store, and showed them to the manager, and the staff. They were impressed with the quality of the images. / I love my camera! I’m using the Panasonic Lumix FZ-50 That is what I used to take almost all the photographs in my portfolio. I’m satisfied with the performance of that camera. The images speak for themselves.

Taken in Mooloolaba this morning. Had to get up at 2am to be there on time but it was rewarding.

Going back to places I have been over and over before. Different tides reveal formations not seen before which is an incentive to visit the place over and over again…I am now looking forward to the low pressure system currently developing…interesting days ahead

As 2007 is fading out so are our chances blown away for some decent rain from that low pressure system out at sea. Was a very interesting beach walk anyway. / Happy new Year everyone!

On my trip to Austin Texas, my friend took me to this beautiful lake called Lake Travis. / This lake is Huge, and beautiful! The blue water resting against the white shores with Meditterianin homes wrapped around it. The house on the right side of the hills is still being built, it’s Beautiful! / The lake is down about 27feet, which normally the depth is close to 300foot. It is 63.75 miles long, and its maximum width is 4.5 miles. The lake covers 18,929 acres, and its capacity is 1,953,936 acre-feet. / You could see for miles from the place we went to for me to get some shots of it. It is so large it has it’s own lighthouse, which was too far for me to get from where we were. / Here is more info about the lake for anyone interested in the stats of it. Lake Travis I shot this in SS priorty with SS at 1/200, Fstop at 16, ISO at 200 and Exposure comp at 0, focal length was at 17mm.

Surfer Joe maybe … my Monday unwind on Redhead Beach in NSW Australia. This surfer happened to walk in front of my camera at the most appropriate time … he waved to me as if to say sorry …. me I just said thank you! Perfect evening / Temperature – perfect / No wind / Magnificent light – constantly changing / Stress levels – NIL / Photographic opportunities – limitless / Amusement level – one dog who followed me everywhere begging me to throw his stick!! Taken with the Nikon D90, Tamron 18-270 mm lens wound to 50 mm, hand held, 1/125, F9, 400 ISO. /
