The little village of San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, is a former fishing village that’s fast becoming a hot tourist spot on the Pacific coast. It still retains a lot of that fishing village feel with a very laid back vibe. Charming little buildings abound often in whites with bright accent colors like this or totally in bright pastels and primary colors. It’s a place that doesn’t leave you even after you’ve moved on. This is along the main street leading down to the beach on a sleepy morning.

Forget Swine Flu. The south of Mexico along the riviera boasts some of the worlds nicest beaches and beautiful warm water. Fishing boats motor past with the catch of the day as tourists look upon a rocky outcrop full of seals. Snorkellers look beneath the surface at tropical fish floating by and all this within easy reach of the nearest daquiri.
