  • The mask I bought from Flavia (www.veniceatelier.com) – I also bought the dress there, shown on another picture.

  • Venice, Piazza di San Marco Shot with a Canon T90; I used ISO 400 Kodak B&W Film. It was taken early in the morning (roughly around 4:30 am) before the sun came up. I put the camera on the steps surrounding the Piazza as I lacked a Tripod. Unfortunately I forgot what exposure I had, what Aperture, etc. ... Should have written it down :c) ... / Anyways :D Enjoy it (P.S. I did not straighten the image on purpose, as I like the crooked angles in all the picture).

  • At times when menacing skies deliver a statement formatted in dark clouds, make sure to read the small drizzle carefully. Occasionally known to be a person who doesn’t want his determination undermined by a rational argument, I ignored it. A mosaic of randomly placed stones left a peculiar grinding sound with each step I made, unbalancing me on a couple of occasions. The uneven surface, unfamiliar environment and cold southerly wind stretched the beach to its maximum size. Here they were, lying hopeless before me. The leviathans from green oceans of alpine rainforests have lost their biological contest. The faith may not be swift, but certainly inevitable for the beached whales of a different kind waiting for their demise on an unforgiving southern coast. I put my hand on them. Their rugged bodies felt eerily warm. No matter how big or strong one may be the law of existence refuses to give up on you. You can postpone it, but not avoid it. Life will be repossessed, the body recycled and today’s eternity will become history.

  • The break in the rainy day at sunset coupled with high tide being driven by the wind created some surging waves for me to use in the foreground and this gnarled limb or stump washed ahore at the right time for me to add it to the composition. Taken at Neptune Beach here in the great state of Washington.

  • Ocean Beach, Northern California … what a gorgeous day at the beach… decent size waves crashing in caused a LOT of mist all along the shore! AWE-SOME! Isn’t it funny how at the beach everyone’s worries just melt away? My biggest draw to beaches … feeling free of worry. This shot is one that needs to be looked at carefully.. the best parts about it, in my opinion, are the silhouettes in the mist.. . if you look carefully (left to right…) you will see one about to throw a football, you will see a child riding on anothers back, random groups of people, friends, families, a girl with pig-tails digging in the sand… it’s just so beautiful to watch life. Live and love people… Thank you so much for looking!

  • Forms made by the ocean water when it reaches the sand and then goes back to the ocean. This movement of the waves leaves forms and patterns in the sand and they last just a few seconds. I was lucky to be there and capture this forms. Image taken at Isla Verde Beach, San Juan, Puerto Rico – Caribbean / Sea and Sand Forms was Featured in SEA group! /

  • Taken at Baker’s Beach on the west side of the Golden Gate

  • This is another piece from the folio that I decided needed a facelift! Originally called Sunday, I gave it the vintage treatment, adding a couple of textures and blanching out the colour slightly, to resemble a postcard or memory of a past holiday or day off at the beach. This was taken at Playa de la Concha, in San Sebastian, the main beach in the port town. It was a beautiful day and our first day in there. A trip to the beach was well worth the long walk from the hostel. These changing rooms were up for hire, as well as umbrellas, sun beds and deck chairs. It is a beach full of activity and vibe. Canon SX100IS Featured in Iberia / Featured in Out Of The Past Top Ten in the Bring On The Spring Challenge / Top 10 in Iberia September Avatar Challenge Edited and completed at 2.30am Textures taken from www.deviantart.com stock MCN: C6BEQ-H5972-L3CW6

  • By this time the mist was heavy enough to distort things but gave a painterly effect. Ocean Beach Pier, San Diego California.
