Sunset at Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia.
In Westernport Bay an incoming tide gently laps over the sand ripples ond magroves. The sky is painted pink as the sun sets on what is the leftover anvil cirrus from afternoon thunderstorms. / This delicate marine environment may also feel the effects of the Victorian State governments proposed Desalination plant (aka – Pollution Factory) Which they are intending to build on the Adjoing pristine Bass coast at the headwaters to Westernport Bay. Right at the south of the Apple Isle are some magnificent, untouched beaches. This is just one of them. At sunset. – Dog photography – Africa photography / - Beach photography - Black & white photography – Dog photography – Africa photography / - Beach photography - Monotone photography

Cute starfish lying on the beach in a bikini.
Icon #2 Point Ormond I am doing a St Kilda/ Elwood icon series. / I wanted to get the Point Ormond beacon. But when I climbed up there last night I realised the base had recently been encased in concrete and it looks horrible. / So I wandered down to the beach and took a shot of the city from Elwood with the beacon in the top right hand corner. I hope you like it. ICON Series / / / /
location: Huntington Beach, CA we later boiled this clam at our bonfire and made David eat it… apparently it was pretty good… we also caught a few hermit crabs too…and according to David, we didn’t cook the crabs long enough, so they tasted like crap…
The second in my Sea Cave series. I captured this wonderful nature abstract at the Spit on the Gold Coast, Qld Australia. / The day was a little cloudy with the sun peeking through a little throughout the day. I love to explore the hidden and secret places of nature, discovering amazing textures, colours and designs that most people wouldn’t notice. So this is my passion. Sometimes a slight adjustment to lighting, tone or colour is needed to highlight the beauty as I had seen with my eyes.
There was this natural pool in Curl Curl beach that was so beautiful. I couldn’t resist taking a photo of it… sort of a lagoon. The stuff that you can imagine little nymphs and perhaps even a mermaid or two frolicking around when nobody’s looking. The blue was unbelievable.

Sunset at Crescent beach, Vancouver, Canada. Canon rebel XTI, 10 – 20mm lens @ 10mm, 30 sec, F/5.6. ISO 100 / Processing in CS3.
Taken down at Cronulla Beach rockpools one early morning. 2 of 3.
Washed upon the ripples at Nudgee Beach. Plenty of these little guys about the place at the moment and are fantastic subjects to shoot.
This painting is watercolour on paper and is the first of my Mornington Peninsular paintings. / I just love the little beach huts in the distance, so much an icon on Victorian beaches. I love the ocean and its inhabitants. Whenever I find a seashell, I put it to my ear and listen. I wrote the following for the image. Put your ear to the shell / and hear the ocean’s swell. / Within its ripple and its tide, / there are many who reside. / Listen closely to all its glory / and you will hear a mermaid’s story. — / Anne Hale Featured in The Patchwork Group. Waves, Ripples, Beautiful Clear Sea and Golden Beaches
I do love shooting with the sun in front and above, as you all probably know. Its the contrasts that I like. This shot was taken from the Old Coastguard Lookout at St Ives Head, St Ives, Cornwall, England, looking in a SSE direction towards Carbis Bay. Hope you like it. / Thank you for looking. After viewing Scott’s waves and surfer, I had to submit this. I went to our local lake, Caesar’s Creek in Clinton County, OH. Here are the waves on the beach. Just can’t compare. /
Taken on the second of two evenings I shot the sunset. This evening there were a few clouds in the sky and the ripples on the sand were a little more well-defined than the previous evening. / Ripples left on the flats …. with the sun setting right behind those two islands – I had little choice of focal points. Boy, was I glad about those ripples!! Nikon D80 / Sigma 10-20 at 10mm / f/11 at 1/4 sec / 0.9 Grad ND filter / WB: Cloudy
