  • The Twelve Apostles in the Port Campbell National Park, Victoria, Australia.

  • On a moody Spring evening, dense but scattered clouds roll across the bay threatening to open up and pour on anything that falls their path. The setting sun casts its light across the clouds making them glow in a way that makes them appear to be on fire. The stunning colour of the sand comes up through the shallow water in unusual blues and greens while at the same time mixing with the oranges and reds of the sky.

  • The last remains of the old Port Willunga jetty, South Australia. Port Willunga Beach was recently named as the only Australian location in ‘Travel and Leisure’ magazine – hip travel list of emerging destinations. This is still one of my favourite locations to photograph and is only a 40 minute drive south of Adelaide. Pentax *ist DS – DSLR. Also available:

  • This shot was taken on an overcast and rainy day at Flynn’s Beach in Port Macquarie.. I had to take a shot as the colour of the water was a very nice blue-green.. I was also happy with the way I captured the wave crashing on the rocks offshore.

  • Sunset over the timber remains, Port Willunga South Australia.

  • 800 views. This is Port Willunga Jetty in mono. Taken at Port Willunga, South Australia, Australia at sunset. I was going for a high key type image. This was taken on a tripod, no flash, f25, ISO 200, 1.3 sec exposure with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D. I was so fortunate to sell, on redbubble, a large mounted print of this work, with the white border and artist’s details, to a good friend, Nathan. Thank you so much.

  • I have always loved Sea urchins and have always collected them from when i was a child right up into adulthood. They would be the first thing I would look for when I got out of my car and my feet hit the sand on the beach. Suprisingly there arent that many to be found anymore on the beach where I have always gone to find them. sony ax 300 SLR 70 – 200ml lense. • Storms on Shelly’s beach /

  • After arriving at the beach after work I started walking to the point but couldn’t resist taking a snap of this bucket that just happened to be sitting on the shore. There wasn’t even any people around so I wondered how it had got there… Processed in Adobe Lightroom 2 only, experimented with the new adjustment brushes which are coooool! Used Cokin ND4 grad and circular polarising filters, taken with a Canon 400D Click here for my other seascapes Featured in the Selective Colouring Group in January 2009 Featured in the Canon DSLR Group in January 2009 Featured in the All About Water group in January 2009

  • This award winning photo was my own personal choice for the place of honor in our home: above the hearth. The photo was taken on a still, misty morning near Port Orford, Oregon, of a man walking his dog on the boulder strewn beach, with the hazy coastal mountains rising up in the background. It’s hard to imagine that it could get any more peaceful and inspiring than this, isn’t it? (Nikon D200, Nikkor DX 18-70 mm 3.5-4.5 ED Lens, Settings f/13.0, 1/640th, ISO 320, 70 mm)

  • Oshie, a rescue dog, checks out the beach during a beautiful sunrise on the beach in Port Orford, Oregon. Oshie is a shepherd mix who loves to run on the beach… and roll in unidentifiable dead things that she finds. She somehow became unwanted by her former owner when she was only about a year old. Yet she is such a wonderful dog! Nikon D200 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens at 18mm. 1/60th, f/4.0, ISO250 Added to the RedBubble Featured Gallery 08-Feb-2009

  • Late evening, bold sky and silhouetting the remains of the old Port Willunga jetty, Port Willunga, South Australia. A favourite spot for photographers and it is rare to visit on a night without running into others with cameras!!! Canon 400D 18-55 lens with CIR Polarising filter. Converted in Photoshop CS3.

  • A re edit of a pic I already have on here which was a HDR image, trying to steer away from it unless I find it appropriate. I like this one better in a lot of ways sometimes it’s better not to see all the hidden details. Processed in Adobe Lightroom 2. Gear out in the field – Canon 400D, Velbon tripod, 10-22mm lens, shutter release, nd grad filter. Enjoy :) This image was the winner of the “Part of the Sun” (Sunset or Sunrise) Challenge in the “Mornings & Evenings—Sunbeams & Storms” Group on the 7th of April 2009. • Got up for dawn at Port Campbell only for it to be drizzly and overcast, but by the time I got down to the beach and the sun started to rise some awesome colour came through and it made the early start well and truly worth it! / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm EF-S.
