It was a great week spent on the Oregon Coast, despite the very un-Junelike weather. In fact, a friend of my brother’s was joking that it was Junember, for all the wind, rain, and chill that filled the days. However, any time on the coast is good…at least for us. We spent one particularly rainy day at the Tillamook Air Museum, which gave us nearly four hours of photographic glee as we wandered from one classic airplane to another, agog at all the gears and gizmos in the cockpits. But the real winner there is the building. Constructed to house zepellins, it is the largest wooden building in the world…and it lives up to it’s reputation. I’m sure you will see many images of it filtering in here, as well as my husband’s gallery. Cannon Beach was fantastic as always. We even got one deliciously sunny day, where we were able to perch ourselves up at Ecola Rock, and gaze off the cliffs to the postcard perfect view below. It never fails to inspire. Hubby even dashed off into the rainforest to take pictures of a herd of elk who decided to dine on the greenery, with a backdrop of the ocean behind them. Too bad they all decided to hunker down and hide when he got close! Heh. Anyway… I’m eager to post some of my new photography. I’ll be working on new artwork as well, and also posting old things as the weeks progress. From the looks of my watchlist, I have a lot of catching up to do. :) An enjoyable task, I assure you. Aimee
