Children have the capacity to derive great pleasure from simply splashing around in the water. I am reminded of my own childhood innocence and enjoyment whenever my family went to the beach. It was a time when a spoon became a shovel to dig and a soup can turned into a pail to hold the sand. Life was much simpler back then.
