Last Anzac day we had a fireworks show down at Brighton Jetty (on south austrlia’s western coast) just after the sun went down. Here’s what i came up with. / ps. ANZAC stands for Australia / New Zealand Army Corps, and we celebrate ANZAC day to remember all the fallen heroes in our country’s history.

Gerroa is an idyllic village at the Kiama end of Seven Mile Beach on the south coast of New South Wales … their sunset on Tuesday (6 January 08) was aided by smoke haze from bushfires in the Morton National Forest. After a day in which temperatures reached 40 degrees celsius and beyond, there were plenty of relaxed holiday-makers still enjoying the ambience, the breeze and the spectacular skies. God’s talent with a paint brush always produces spectacular works of art down in the Caribbean. This is the sixth picture of eight that I shot during a sunrise on Ambergris Caye, Belize, in Central America. As the sun rose higher the clouds engulfed the sun, stunting the colored display from growing any more. Nikon D-3 w Nikkor 17-35mm set at 17mm.

The sun could be found behind a blanket of smoke this morning due to the recent devastating bush fires across our state of Victoria, Australia. Many people perished and thousands of homes were destroyed in the fires. I dedicate this to them and hope the new day brings new hope. Thanks for looking.
