This is a dog in San Diego that loves to surf! Very funny – He would run straight back out to do it again and again.
Monday morning walking along Inverloch beach in Victoria. A man and his best friends.

My nephew and dogs playing on the beach. Pure accident to catch them all on the same step. I did not realize it until I got home and put it on the lap top. Taken with Nikon D50 on auto.
Long Beach, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Canada / March, 2008 On a cold and very wet day out on Long Beach, Vancouver Island we made a couple of friends for a moment whilst out with our cameras… happy to check us out whilst we set up our shots, I couldn’t resist turning my attention to them… well they were following us everywhere! We were not quite sure what breed they were.. obviously living wild.. perhaps a bit of wolf in there, who knows… But anyway, this pair of puppies were as cute as… I’m sure if we had permanent residence there, then they would be sat by my feet now! I am overwhelmed; my soul is so weary. / My heart sinks with the setting sun / I am still, lost here in the stillness, / searching into the fading light. / With time, I know I will regain my balance. Knowing that you are always near, / Waiting for the proper time to come, / Your devotion makes my journey possible.

This award winning photo was my own personal choice for the place of honor in our home: above the hearth. The photo was taken on a still, misty morning near Port Orford, Oregon, of a man walking his dog on the boulder strewn beach, with the hazy coastal mountains rising up in the background. It’s hard to imagine that it could get any more peaceful and inspiring than this, isn’t it? (Nikon D200, Nikkor DX 18-70 mm 3.5-4.5 ED Lens, Settings f/13.0, 1/640th, ISO 320, 70 mm)
Oshie, a rescue dog, checks out the beach during a beautiful sunrise on the beach in Port Orford, Oregon. Oshie is a shepherd mix who loves to run on the beach… and roll in unidentifiable dead things that she finds. She somehow became unwanted by her former owner when she was only about a year old. Yet she is such a wonderful dog! Nikon D200 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens at 18mm. 1/60th, f/4.0, ISO250 Added to the RedBubble Featured Gallery 08-Feb-2009

I just happened to take my camera with me when I took my dog Jess, to the local beach. Jess decided it was much nicer lying on the beach than walking on it so I just lay opposite her and fired off a few shots. She’s very used to me taking shots so she just waited patiently for me to finish. Nikon D3 / 17-35mm lens / f/2.8

(Uploaded especially for my new friend Mike Scholl. You must check out his work – brilliant!) 75×100 x 3.8cm Acrylic on Canvas. There is an exhibition coming up and I have been asked to submit 8 pieces of figurative work. I thought I had completed this last September but it’s just bugged me! Anyway last week I decided to work on it again. So, originally we had this (rather unattractive boring red head) / / and with a few alterations we now have this much more friendly gal.
Please view larger. FEATURED IN: PAWS AND CLAWS This is Kalika and Dakota playing in the surf at Pismo Beach, CA last weekend. They are both Retrievers and of course live for the water. They had so much fun chasing the tennis ball as the waves were crashing around them. I love the way the water is popping up around them and the intense look on Kalika’s face as she spots the tennis ball…. Nikon d80 / lens 50-200mm
