Here are my boys and hubby checking out the clouds before a storm.
Took this a couple of weeks ago of my little girl at the beach and realised it’s potential this morning when I started to play with the colour, light and layers so of course I though that I would share!
In the warm summer night, I watched this amazing dry storm cell pass over me from the West. It looked like it was going to cross right over top of me – so I made an escape plan (run like hell!) But in the end, it turned north and head away from me – not before I captured this. Here is a sunset capture with my two boys. They are very close and are not only brothers but best friends and love doing everything together :o)
Or maybe just show off!! This is my hubby ‘trying’ his best to do a hand stand at the beach a few days ago! Probably not one of my ‘artistic best’ but nevertheless fun! Enjoy :o)
Sales of this Design? – 1 sale so far :) / Ride Like the Wind is a card from the Beach Series and Inspired Series by Karin Taylor….. / in the dark of night she escapes suburbia to find the giant swell of the rolling ocean beckoning her from the shoreline…..she notices a makeshift board on the edge, where the waves ebb and flow in a cheeky hello…....bracing herself, she skims the board through the shallows and onto the wave, which picks her up as though it were cradling her in it’s arms, throws her forward and there she stands in all her glory, the moonlight guiding her way to another land, where in the soft glow of the morning light ~ life will be gentler, people kinder and her heart can mend….... This image has been nominated for the prestigous Pay it forward group by Geraldine Lefoe This is what she had to say about it: “I love the mood created in this image by Mark Ross – the lighting and treatment are superb.” Geraldine also commented personally as follows: Amazing art Mark – came across your work somewhere else then found you on Redbubble. I love the way you have captured these people each in their own world as though no one else exists. Your processing is superb. Thank you for nominating this Geraldine! I’m very pleased you like it. / / / / /

A portrait version of this shot These are 300 year old beach trees and getting to the end of their natural life. When touring around Northern Ireland we were lucky enough to see a couple of photos of this place and eventually managed to find a toutrist info person that knew where they were. So with the sun low in a September sky we headed out and found possibly the most stunning bit of road I have ever been on in my life! Sony Alpha A200 18mm

One caught a few months back, and one of my favorites of the day, but for some reason I overlooked it. Was the first day I purchased my new Wide Angle lens for the 5D Mk II, full frame. I ended up buying the 16-35mm f2.8 L II, and she is a beauty! All I need now if the time to get out and capture more of the beautiful mother nature at work :) The wreck of the “SS Dicky”, at Dicky Beach, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. She isn’t looking so good these days, as the sea rips away at the remains every tide. Canon 5D Mk II, 16mm. Available very large and best viewed Large!
