The third artwork in the Nautical Series. This digital landscape is a digital painting done in both Corel Painter and Photoshop CS2 with a Wacom Intuos3 tablet. No photo references were used. The blazing sun sets behind a dancing ocean. I was going for a minimalistic look here—the beach, the sunset, a single bird. What more could one ask for? Blog Website

This piece is the second in my Nautical Series—“the ocean calls” being the first. This is a digital painting done with a Wacom Intuos3 tablet. I used Corel Painter for this entire piece. The bigger this piece gets the more impressionistic it becomes. This was done on purpose. I wanted the ocean’s movement to intertwine with the brush strokes I used. The bigger the print, the better you will be able to see the movement of the strokes and how they correlate to the ocean’s movement. this is one of a series of three. This one is for a commission. Knowing a little about the person, besides knowing he likes red, and abstract, and loads of texture, he’s also gone through big change in his life (new business, going well, old relationship ended) One of the things he loves in his business is seeing a ‘situation’ and cleaning it up to be fresh, sparkling and better than expected. Bearing this in mind, the surface of the canvas was highly textured. There is loads of ‘chaos’ that is steam rolled through, leaving a shining path. It is a visual reminded of his efforts of the day, and the mark he leaves on the world. It is vision of happiness, a job well done, a tribute to freedom and moving forward. I have amped up the colour so it looks great in print.

I use a combination of ink, pastel, charcoal and acrylic paint. I like to use pastel over the top of acrylic, allowing the acrylic to show through a bit. Hula Hips is a really out there kinda girl, loves life and lives it to the full! A nice happy birthday card this would make :D

An acrylic painting 35cm x 25cm (13.5” x 10”) on paper, of a fallen tree on the shores of a beautiful remote beach in Queensland, Australia. Driftwood can be a nusiance but is important as it provides shelter and food for birds, fish and other aquatic species as it floats in the ocean. What a beautiful place to be.

Watercolour painting 10×12 inches on Arches paper with a touch of acrylic for texture of beautiful Seal Rocks Beach. This beach is located in a small, sleepy and rather isolated beach town on the mid north coastline of NSW, Australia. Have very happy memories here of when we used to take our children camping and we visited this beach many times. Happy times come and go / Memories remain this I know / like snapshots locked inside our mind / each one remembered is one of a kind!
