In Idaho we have forest fires almost every summer and fall. We unfortunately had one break out near us. I heard the helicopter’s grabbed my camera after work, and headed out to find where he was dipping for water. This is the South Fork of the Boise River, I had to walk through some forest area to get to this spot for this shot. I used my Canon EOS, Rebel XT. The lens was a 18-55mm. This shot was taken as is.

I STOP TO SHOOT THESE KIDS PLAYING ON SLEDS DOWN A HILL, THIS ONE CAME DOWN FAST AND LOST HIS SHOE WHEN HE HIT THE HILL. HE FLEW SEVERAL FEET INTO THE ROAD. I USED MY CANON EOS REBEL XT, SHUTTER SPEED 1/1000 SEC. ISO 400, FOCAL LENGTH ABOUT 55.0MM.

This is my first photo to be published!! This is basically a weed found in Texas. I think it is called Musk Thistle or Texas Thistle. One thing is for sure… bees like them. I was lucky enough to catch a bee trying to land on one. Taken in Frisco, TX. Canon PowerShot G9 Second Photo HERE

An edit of a photo i took at Cape Otway Lighthouse just of Victoria’s Great Ocean Road in Australia a few months ago on the 28th of February 2008. HDR’d in Photomatix from one RAW file . Found a pic of some birds i took at Elwood Beach a while ago and added them in Photoshop. Some tweaking was also done in Lightroom including the black and white conversion and above is the end result. The Lighthouse is just one of many beautiful attractions in the Great Otway National Park. CAPE Otway Lightstation is the oldest, surviving lighthouse in mainland Australia. The light, which has been in continuous operation since 1848, is perched on towering sea cliffs where Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean collide. For thousands of immigrants, after many months at sea, Cape Otway was their first sight of land after leaving Europe.
