This is a mixed media painting, initiated from a life study painting, produced on paper, then translated to a gessoed illustration board. The figure was cut apart and rearranged, then the resulting spaces were painted to compliment the initial form of the figure, and to create a unique composition. The woman is expressively posing, and “opening up”, like a flower blossom. I enjoyed the overall process of this piece, and the amazing movement of the form, the bright coloration, as well as the degree of depth within the simple design. The dimensions of the painting are 26in. X 20in. It was started a few years ago and cut up, then recently finished in 2008. / Stage 1- / / Stage 2- / / BCbroken-

This is a watercolour painting from a photo that I took while we were traveling along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria Australia. / This Rock formation is called The London Bridge, which is found along the south coast of Australia. The 2 Rock formations use to be joined forming a bridge-like structure ( hence where the name came from). But one day after years of erosion the middle section collapsed stranding a group of tourists on the outer section.

He’s trying to wash her away, in hopes of getting over his broken heart. I drew a guy and a girl on a wall with permanent marker, and I didn’t like how the girl came out, so I sprayed her with red spray paint and I found the image washing away.

This is a color photo that was taken while I was out on a long walk. The subject of the tricycle was found leaning against a garage in an alleyway and I was compelled to take multiple photos of it. Who knows how long it had been there. It was taken in 2004. BCbroken
