Putsborough is a beach on the coast of North Devon, England, between Croyde and Woolacombe. Putsborough beach is situated on the southern end of Woolacombe Sands. The surf works at all tide stages but mid to high tend to have an edge. It is the only beach in the area that benefits from some protection from the South/Southwesterly winds, thanks to Baggy Point headland. Peaks are scattered all along its length. It has a fairly slow waves which are suitable for beginners. The sandy beach has some rocky outcrops which provide paddling pools.
A beautifully dramatic sky hangs over an inlet, or cove, on Antelope Island (State Park) in the Great Salt Lake in northern Utah, USA. This fall October morning was a fantastic day to go hiking and explore the island and enjoy the solitude of nature.

12”X16” W/C on Arches paper, masked sun, idea from a magazine pic.
Remains of a pier at Cat Bay, on the North West side of Phillip Island not to far from the famous Nobbies and Penguin Parades. I thought this spot would be best at high tide which unforunately fell in the middle of the afternoon but thankfully some sun rays started to burst through the clouds over head creating a nice picture, and yes I got very wet feet. Taken with my Canon 40D with polarising, Grad and ND filters to lengthen exposure. Along the City’s many beaches I recently caught this scene under the fog, then came these ducks…..The Bay Area’s Golden Gate wasn’t named centuries ago for blue or pink sets, and this image is just a typical recent golden gate
San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge on a foggy day
San francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge
A obscured view of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California, USA. It towers high into the fog and mist above, while colorful coastal vegetation blooms and fluorishes beneath it. The image was made painterly and sepia via Photoshop.

Kaula’uo / Ulua / Mokapu Beach / Wailea / Maui Gold Coast / Hawai’i Copyright © Sharon Mau 2009 / All Rights Reserved These two beaches are accessible by the same path along the wonderful elevated boardwalk, although they have different names for each side of the beach. When you are facing makai, the ocean, to the right is Mokapu Beach, which lies just in front of the Renaissance Wailea Beach Resort and to the left is Ulua Beach. These beaches are very popular places for walking, running, sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling, featuring sandy bottoms. In summer the water is wonderfully warm. It is a beautiful long stretch of golden sand, and the luxurious bronzed golden sand is reflecting the beautiful warm colours of sunset in this image. It was a peaceful evening on Maui’s Gold Coast. Ulua is name after the adult Crevalle fish. / The original name was Ke One Ulua (pronounced o-ney) / Like Polo Beach, Ulua is a name unfamiliar to long time residents of Maui. The original name was Kaula’uo and that is what I prefer to call it as I believe the original name should be restored. Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi / Shooting Date/Time 07 July 2009 18:44:54

The grassy sand-dunes in the foreground leads your eye into this photo, while the lone beach-goer strolls along just out of focus and draws your eye toward the unmistakable backdrop of Byron Bay Headland and Lighthouse – giving a feeling of openness, expansiveness, freedom, peace and solitude.
