  • Looking from Portarlington on the Bellarine Peninsula over Corio Bay to the You Yangs

  • Taken tonight while the sun was going to bed!

  • This shot was taken in a gorgeous place called Spoon Bay. A wonderful feeling of remoteness to it even though it’s only a 10 min hike down a track. The rocks are gorgeous (that is if you are like me and love rocks and textures). The rock is a green sandstone (haven’t seen this colour anywhere else) and the sand is a deep golden colour. I took this photo because Ioved the contrasts in colours, textures and the movement of the sea in the middle of it all. For anybody that likes Photoshop, if you are interested in how I processed this image, I did a step-by-step tutorial in my blog. You can find my blog here Enjoy / Brent

  • Sunset on Wharariki Beach, Golden Bay, South Island, New Zealand

  • Last light again, looking South from the Causeway at Victor Harbor along the Esplanade across the ocean. Quite dark and brooding but available lighting was troublesome here. Canon 400D, HDR and adapted in Photomatix 2.5. Best Viewed large.

  • Taken this summer (or winter) during my trip to New Zealand. I love it there, beautiful landscapes. This is an example.

  • Photo taken October,11,08. Sunset at Haifa Bay, Israel. / Thanks for viewing and commenting.. / Have a splendid day ! / Copyrights© Nira Dabush

The Golden Gate Bridge was barely visible in this dense morning fog. From a cliff overlooking the bay, the pillar was visible as well as a misty outline of the San Francisco skyline. Built in 1933, the bridge was completed 5 years later in 1937. It is a part of US Highway 101 and State Route 1, and is the only road to exit San Francisco to the north. A bit of trivia: The suspension bridge is 8,981 feet in length and is 200+ feet above the water. It has a total of approximately 1.2 million rivets holding it together. • Early one morning whilst staying at Robin Hood’s Bay, a North Yorkshire coastal town in England, I awoke to go and get some shots of the morning sunrise and of the still quiet town before the bustle of the new day. I managed to get some spectacular shots of the sunrise and the colours. Before I left the beach and made my way back up the very long hill, I spotted this boat sitting on the sand waiting till the tide made its way up. The colours are just as beautiful as the sunrise just a short time earlier. Fuji FinePix S5600 bridge camera / f/3.5 / 1/2000 / ISO 100

  • Wharariki Beach, Golden Bay, South Island of New Zealand. This was a magical place to be with a camera at this time of the day! Canon 20D

  • Occasionally, just very very occasionally, I get up really early, and this is what happens!

  • ...having fun, / Golden bay, New zealand

  • Pastel on Colourfix paper (burgundy) – 50cm x 35cm Another one straight from my easel to RedBubble. I’m not sure if it is quite finished yet! My husband thinks I should add some people (there are two in the far distance). I thought people would make it too ‘busy’ so I’m thinking about some gulls. This is the way it was while we were there – practically deserted. My son asked me to do a beach scene as a gift for his ‘Best Man’ (who loves the beach and the Great Ocean Road area). The wedding is on the 28th March so I have been stressing about getting it finished in time. I am well ahead! • This one was taken at popular surfing spot Cat Bay on the North West coast of Phillip Island in Victoria, Australia. Got here with the hope of getting some nice long exposures of the high tide coming in and then the clouds opened up… Taken with my Canon 40D and 10-22mm wide angle lens as well as poalrising, graduated and ND filters. • I had no idea how many of these huts there are scattered around the Mornington Peninsula, it seems that they are everywhere! Really been trying to stay away from HDR lately I will put 3 exposures in Photomatix, tone map it, look at it, then scrap it and go back to Lightroom 2…so this is not a HDR image although it does have a little bit of that feel to it. This is the last photo for a while that I can remember being taken without a tripod! Was taken a little later in the morning than my last few uploads to RB. / Settings Canon 40D, 17-85mm IS. • A slightly confused trolley across the bay from the San Francisco city. This thing was missing a wheel and rusty as hell. Shot around 7:50 pm before the sun had gone down, a little experiment with my new ND400 Filter :) If you look extremely carefully the golden gate is on the horizon engulfed in the infamous fog that rolls in every single bloody day… / Settings Canon 40D, 17-85mm IS. • Title from a certain Chris Isaak song… I haven’t been taking a lot of photos whilst enjoying my stay in San Francisco but this little visit to a certain bridge we all know, made the fact that I hadn’t been out not matter to me at all, I absolutely loved this spot and I can’t wait to come back to this great city and explore it a little bit more… Without a doubt this is already one of my favourite photos out of the many thousands I have taken over the past 18 months or so, thanks for looking :D / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm IS. • The late sun on Hazards Beach, i spent my first night camp here, this is on the other side of the peninsula to Wineglass bay, only saw 2 other people that day, I did pass 3 Tiger snakes within 15 minutes on the walk to this beach, they are pretty slow this time of year so no worries there. I spent the day here lying in the sun, swimming and scouting for photo spots for sunset/rise..lovely jubly.
