The Golden Gate At Night
The City by the Bay sparkles behind the world-famous bridge as a lunar eclipse shimmers off the water in this magnificent long exposure photograph.

The Golden Gate Bridge was barely visible in this dense morning fog. From a cliff overlooking the bay, the pillar was visible as well as a misty outline of the San Francisco skyline. Built in 1933, the bridge was completed 5 years later in 1937. It is a part of US Highway 101 and State Route 1, and is the only road to exit San Francisco to the north. A bit of trivia: The suspension bridge is 8,981 feet in length and is 200+ feet above the water. It has a total of approximately 1.2 million rivets holding it together. Another shot of the Bay Bridge over looking San Francisco. Also if you look on the bridge you can see a police vehicle swerving across lanes to slow traffic.
San Fancisco at night.
First Brother Lighthouse in San Francisco Bay stands at the entrance to San Pablo Bay. It is now a Bed and Breakfast assesible only by boat.
The Bay Bridge. This is probably the most popular spot for photographers to capture this exact scene that I caught. I have seen it so many times, and though it is thoroughly cliche’ I still had to get one of my own. Please forgive me. The Bay Bridge and San Francisco, taken from the hills of Oakland…or was it Berkeley?
A slightly confused trolley across the bay from the San Francisco city. This thing was missing a wheel and rusty as hell. Shot around 7:50 pm before the sun had gone down, a little experiment with my new ND400 Filter :) If you look extremely carefully the golden gate is on the horizon engulfed in the infamous fog that rolls in every single bloody day… / Settings Canon 40D, 17-85mm IS. Title from a certain Chris Isaak song… I haven’t been taking a lot of photos whilst enjoying my stay in San Francisco but this little visit to a certain bridge we all know, made the fact that I hadn’t been out not matter to me at all, I absolutely loved this spot and I can’t wait to come back to this great city and explore it a little bit more… Without a doubt this is already one of my favourite photos out of the many thousands I have taken over the past 18 months or so, thanks for looking :D / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm IS. San Francisco, CA…That famous bridge.
Just outside of San Francisco there lies a small quaint town called Half Moon Bay. A wonderful 4 miles of sandy beaches away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nikon D90 / Focal Length 18mm / Nikkor 18-200VR Lens Please View Larger
