Well I have just gotten back from a stint up the East coast on Sunday night, and of course had to stop in Byron Bay for what was supposed to be a night, but turned into 4. Took about a million photographs but only a few were Red Bubble worthy in my own estimation. Unfortunately for me, a very talented Lee Burgess has beaten me to the punch on the lighthouse by about 8 hours…Oh well, pays not to sit on piccies too long huh! For what its worth, this is my take…
Ventured out last night and came home with this
Rainbow Rocks, a small bay near Southend, Limestone Coast South Australia. Favourite place to spend the last hours of the day as the sun goes down.
Last light again, looking South from the Causeway at Victor Harbor along the Esplanade across the ocean. Quite dark and brooding but available lighting was troublesome here. Canon 400D, HDR and adapted in Photomatix 2.5. Best Viewed large.
Shot at Plimmerton Beach, New Zealand, massive storm approaching the North Island. Shot on a Nikon D700 with a AF-S Nikkor 17-35mm 1:2.8D / Dock of the Bay / Chocolate Coffee Sticks / Last Post
Sunset over the foreshore at Byron Bay Australia. A wonderful place to visit and contemplate life as you sit on the beach watching the last light of the night. Canon 400D – 18 – 55 lens. Finished in Photoshop CS3.

Pastel on Colourfix sanded paper (burgundy) – 50cm x 35cm My first painting completed in 2009! Apollo Bay is a beautiful fishing village along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. We spend a week there each year, and it is nearly time for us to head back there again. The harbour is really beautiful at dusk. I did a couple of colour sketches sitting on the edge of the harbour on this balmy summer evening, just as the lights were starting to come on. I also took some photos for later reference. Title from a certain Chris Isaak song… I haven’t been taking a lot of photos whilst enjoying my stay in San Francisco but this little visit to a certain bridge we all know, made the fact that I hadn’t been out not matter to me at all, I absolutely loved this spot and I can’t wait to come back to this great city and explore it a little bit more… Without a doubt this is already one of my favourite photos out of the many thousands I have taken over the past 18 months or so, thanks for looking :D / Settings Canon 40D, 10-22mm IS. This is one from my recent trip with Glen to Moreton Island where we were witnessing a great natural spectacle. Do I really need to say anything here…..just look at this landscape and soak it in. It is a large tidal pool where we enjoyed the silence and absence of civilisation. For those of you with an iphone, I have 100 of my "best" in an application called "ifolio".
