Thought I would see if I could capture the feel of the tide approaching . Taken at dusk perched on rocks with the aid of a Benbo tripod with legs you can lock at any angle . The exposure was around 30 seconds at f16 using a Canon10D with a 17-34 Tamrom at 17 mm . I believe I achieved what I set out to do and find peace whenever I look at this picture . Its my screensaver at work and usually pops up just when needed and is without manipulation , as the camera recorded .

A long exposure taken at the old Cornwall Docks in Bellingham,WA It was the first snow of the season and it was due to melt within a day or two so I knew I had to brave the cold and get the shot. With DST it gets darker earlier, which enabled me to take this at 5:30 or so in the evening. I got the shot and then the flurries came in, I packed up and headed out a happy camper. Holywell Bay, Cornwall One of my favourite places on the planet. Holywell Bay is a small village on the north coast of Cornwall about 5 miles from Newquay (and 5 miles from Perranporth). Holywell Bay beach is a large, sandy beach with rolling dunes behind the beach, rock pools and a slow running stream. Breathtakingly beautiful!
