Eagle at Farmington Bay. The background was pretty bland so my good friend bamagirl38 has been taking the time to teach me how to change them. This is my first attempt. Please take the time to check her out on RedBubble! /
A Blue Heron taking off into the sunset. Taken in Fort Walton Beach Florida. This picture almost looks prehistoric! This shot truly was about being at the right place at the right time.

A heron fishing in the shallow water of Corio Bay in Geelong on a very calm afternoon. It was standing in a reflection of a white cloud which appears to have highlighted it. I waited for ages to snap him with a fish – so we were both rewarded for our patience. /
Cross-processed with a TTV overlay – and the bird actually did fly across the scene just as I pressed the shutter! Corio Bay, Geelong. /
Morro Bay, California
Sometimes it pays to live in a small town… where the neighbors call you to tell you when visitors are in your yard. I have chased this guy down a while. Guess the neighbors have seen my unsuccessful attempts.. and helped me out on this foggy raining day. shot captured on Bell’s Island, North Carolina. Had enough / the fly away /
Resub of an earlier work I did, and I thought it would be much better in straight b/w (rather than the sepia I tried earlier). I much prefer it this way. My daughter on the beach in Morro Bay, California.

Yes, another sunrise taken from my workplace in Port Hardy, BC on Vancouver Island. It’s the best part of my job, to enjoy this beautiful scenery every time I look out the bay & Mr. Eagle put an added beauty to the scene! In 16 years, so many different colors and so many eagles! I have seen the worst and best that this bay has to offer! Hope you like and like always, thank you for viewing my point of view!! I recently had a small accident and off for a few days, catch up time in RB world. Keep smiling… / /
El Dorado (Spanish for “the golden one”) is a legend that began with the story of a South American tribal chief who covered himself with gold dust and would dive into a lake of pure mountain water (taken from Wikipedia) Nikon D70s / Sigma 50-500mm lens / f/7.1 / 1/2000sec / 370mm focal length / PSE for contrast enhancement only. /
(Best viewed large) Shot last night, on our local walk around the creek just up the road here in Hobsons Bay. I have Mick’s Son to thank for this and an amazing series of shots that I will be sharing with you . It had been a windy day, and not the most pleasant of conditions outside, and I thought I wouldn’t bother taking the camera, which weighs about a ton with my favorite lens.I was pretty beat after a long day’s work..My beautiful Stepson wisely gave me back some of my own medicine…“You never know what you’ll see…maybe…the shots of your life, and you don’t wanna be sorry”. Much love from my heart to my sweet Stepson. Pictured is a Royal Spoonbill I have been trying to get close to for months around our creeks…He is very shy and shaky, and takes flight at the bat of an eyelid…with my new lens I can finally start to have some deep and meaningfuls with him…From the plumage on his crown and the patches of color, this guy looks as though he’s breeding at present.
