  • This image was shot on transparency film and manipulated further using a Daylab printer and Polaroid pull apart film where the film is pulled apart before a positive can be processed. The dyes remaining on the Polaroid film were then transferred by rolling onto blotting paper. This is a very unique technique as you will never be able to reproduce the same image twice. There will always be a different amount of dye remaining on the film each time you do it making each image different from the last. More works created using this technique can be found here

  • A patient bathroom at a village style asylum built in 1904 basks in the afternoon glow. I wonder how many patients bathed in this tub, looking out the window dreaming of freedom. Some folks spent nearly their entire lives in institutions like this. 100+ views! Thanks everyone!

  • Caribbean Flamingo (phoenicopterus ruber) having a jolly good splash! He was a bit of a pain as he kept sticking his head under the water (not very elegant) but obviously enough snaps paid off. • Ok…so I played with the colours just a bit…lol

  • Went to go spend the day with Storm, Hank and Shaya today….and as luck would have it… / Hank decided to go for a bath….Oh my gosh…was I lucky or what??? / The white you are seeing in Hank’s eyes is something called a nictitating membrane. This eyelid is transparent, and sweeps across the eye from side to side. It grows in the inner corner of the eye, right next to the tear duct. This is a protection against getting any water, blood, etc in the eye…So all my bath pictures have Hank with his nictitating membrane. Nothing is wrong with his eyes at all…

  • Canon450D / ISO100 / f/9 / 8sec / ND400 / Sturdy Tripod / Shutter release / Wet back – an unexpected rush of water sprayed up from behind me…luckily I was leaning over my camera and managed to stop most of the water from hitting it – but the wet clothes made for a cold shoot….but my shoes remained dry ;0) Newcastle Beach, NSW, Australia. / 18th June, 2009 @ 9:56AM

  • Went for a little drive to The Entrance today. Came across the Ocean Baths there and got this shot. It was raining most of the time, but it’s amazing how well a zip-lock sandwich bag can waterproof your camera…lol

  • I’ve seen lots of photos of this beachside pool and they always look great. Theres something about the lighting here at sunrise that looks awesome.
