When I worked for Penguin Books in the UK, I used to play in a Publisher’s Softball League and I wondered if the mafia have a similar setup… Also available are some of the teams that play in this imagined league: The New Jersey Hitmen / The New England Extortionists / The San Fransisco Bootleggers /
CENTRAL PARK Photo best viewed large. Central Park on a very foggy morning, March 17, 2009. Ashland, Kentucky, located in the NE part of the bluegrass state, boasts a 47-acre (190,000 m2) wooded park. Central Park was founded in 1854, with playgrounds and other amusements. In the spring of 1995, the pond was excavated, and later filled with water by September. / / The original water lilies that were planned in 1937 had come back in full bloom. Several fountains were added in the center of the park, and numerous fish species were added. / / The park today features an ice skating area, three separate children playgrounds, several baseball diamonds, a volleyball court and a traditional bandstand. Central Park also hosts an annual, holiday light show, the Winter Wonderland of Lights. The park is filled with lush greenery, flowers, and towering trees.

That’s me and my cat back in 1990, enjoying a night game and cheering on the home team; and proof that even the night monsters enjoy a little baseball from time to time… /

My little tribute to Conan on his first week as the new host of the Tonight Show. The opening segment on the first night was great! / Go Conan go!
I originally sketched this out on 4th of July of 2006 in a park on a beautiful day with my late girlfriend. She asked me to put a small white scotty dog in one of the squares. I did and she loved that it was something she asked for and I drew it. She also asked if and when I get around to making a painting of that sketch if I would also paint in the little white dog. I did. This one is for you baby!
Nostalgic baseballs in the grass on a baseball field
I did this painting over a year ago when I was going through some rough times and just needed to do something directly out of my head without making a pencil sketch first. This is one of three paintings that came out of that time. I’ve reduced this one in size for inclusion on Red Bubble. / 14×7” Acrylic painting on canvas.
May 1943, Eastern England Finally taking a break from the constant bombing missions over Germany. The crew remains in good spirits and morale is high. Today we got some downtime and managed to have a baseball game between guys from the 457th Bomb Group and the Escort Fighter pilots. Got this shot of Lt. White “Lightening” sliding onto home plate and winning the game. Umpire Dave “Goose” declares White to be safe …. Had many beers and smokes that evening and rasing the losers. Tomorrow will be another Milk Run to Braunschweig.

Heaven’s batting a thousand. How many can you catch? Originally an entry to Shirt.Woot derby #73: Optimism My first shirt design for shirt.woot.com. Though it obviously couldn’t contend with the likes of hamsters, dinosaurs, or pirates. Still, I think it’s the best of the ones I submitted.
