A rural Autumn farm composition with nice colored leaves, a fence and sheep. This shot was taken in October of 2005 at the historic Longstreet Farm located in Holmdel, NJ.
I managed to crawl thru a small opening in this abandoned barn, and was lucky enough to capture this view !!
Find me a cheekier beef horse than this, and I’ll gladly give you my favourite teapot. Detail, colour, taste and pure cheek – this cheeky cow’s got the lot. To quote what she said to me just after I took the picture: “Moo”. And you can’t argue with that. Proud of your kitchen? Imagine this beauty on your wall. As a picture, I mean. Not the actual cow. Look at my lovely shop: http://baddoggy.redbubble.com/ Taken on the cliffs above Robin Hood’s Bay, near Whitby, North Yorkshire. I could’ve cropped it conventionally, but I couldn’t bring myself to chop out that sky.

Nothing like the sound of a rooster crowing to greet the morning and the smell of coffee percolating in the pot. Simple pleasures like these make me happy.
During our time on the road I have time to myself while business is being conducted…I never seem to get bored since I always have my camera and can always find something that can be turned into art…this was a capture of a mighty handsome fellow of a goat…came across a traveling petting zoo in a parking lot and Billy here posed for me! 8/16/09 ~ Featured in Black with a Hint of Color ~ Thank you so much!! 8/11/09 ~ Featured in Rural Around the Globe ~ Thank you BigD!!!! A profile of Mother Hen from the Keystone Group photo shoot. I believe in this shot, Mother Hen was staring at Lois….. who is very good at talking to farm animals! If you look very closely you can probably see the reflection of Lois in the eyeball – HA! There was dim lighting inside the barn so I was using a slower shutter speed. I didn’t get as much clarity as I hoped for. Taken 8/8/09 at Breakway Farms, Manheim, PA. SUNLIGHT / MOTHER HEN / WHAT A HAM!
The profile of a hatchling, highlighted by the warm glow of the natural sunlight shining through the old barn door. Taken 8/8/09 during the Keystone Group photo shoot, Breakaway Farms, Manheim, PA. SUNLIGHT / MOTHER HEN / WHAT A HAM!
Featured in Extreme Close-Ups August 19, 2009. Looks Best Full Size I fell deeply, madly, wildly in love with this sweet darling baby calf at Ann Rodriguez’s farm when The Keystone Group visited recently. What struck me as I viewed the image in the monitor was the reflection of one of the trucks (cars?) in her eye. And I wondered … was she planning her escape??? Ahhh … but for opposable thumbs … what a different world this might be for her … for us all. No beef for me tonight. Pass me a piece of fish instead, please. Image taken on August 8, 2009 near Manheim, PA with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. Shutter was 1/200, aperture f/7.1, exp -.33, iso 3200. Slight cropping in Photoshop only.

Little Red is in love! tehe! Little Red is a young maturing rooster, and with his first hen following, he is proud! The hens will have nothing to do with the roosters unless thay provide well for them, and that means finding them great food to eat! / The roosters will actually find big fat jucie bugs, and call the hens over for dfinner. /
