a chalk pastel of an old barn that my sister spotted. Whispy afternoon, somewhere in the southern u.s.
Another drive through Rivington scene! CARD
An old barn of a derelict farm, that looks like its been used for hanging!! the ropes were swinging in the wind that was howling through, slates were scattered everywhere from the strong winds, quite a eerie feeling in here, would’nt want to be here in the dark!
Old steps that have crumbled away the would have taken you up to the Hayloft
I am adding two photographs, ‘Day’ and ‘Night’. Both of the same view but treated differently, It fascinates me the effects you can create with PS.
An old abandoned barn in a field at winter

Historical Living Farm in Slate Run Metro Park, Columbus Ohio / /
I love the was nature reuses man’s creation and this old store and sheep shelter is now being used by the tree as support and shelter from strong winds.
Canon Digital Rebel XT / This farm is aprox 5 miles from our property – another in Kent County MIchigan USA
A sturdy stone barn holds it’s own against the falling snow in the North Yorkshire dales. part of the Yorkshire landscape series.
On Zazzle / On DeviantART Anyone, but ANYONE who does not fullview this … or at least check out the details here so help me, will feel the wrath and indignation of a thousand cracked tablet pens (unfortunately, yes, I did) and the howling fury of the Demon of Unseen Deer / ... / I did add a deer, incidentally. And spent awhile getting it right, even down unto the highlight of the eye, zoomed out a bit and realised … well. If you can even spot it, you’ll understand :XD: Also, a hedgehog, by request >.> Details / Time Fourteen hours… over four days. I think the last picture I spent this long on was Waterborn_ checks Oh, no that was ‘only’ ten hours. Hey, new record :D / Tools Artrage 2.5 and a tablet. I hold the pen too hard.. it’s breaking up (which is also why my traditional pencilwork usually … dies). / Hmm… I have a :zombie: pen. Does that make any future art necromantic? LINKS TO OTHER GOODIES andlessgoods / Wallpapers / Animals / Fantasy / Earlier version/woodland bookmark thing / Even earlier WIP Before anyone comments on my photoshop techniques, please check the rant/warning under this deviation and also, go HAVE A LOOK AT ARTRAGE (Critique on anything else is very welcome!) / This is NOT Photoshop, I have to paint everything in there (except for the glitter tools, which is basically… glitter or paint spatters, but I still have to do something more with them). When I want to change the lighting I add a very thin paint wash over the relevant areas and blend/erase lightly until the shadows match. / ——Extras / This is … a mixture of things. Wanting to paint a woodland scene, recent compliments on my animals and realism(ish) eshkenazi’s “A Star for a Heart’ contest which has been floating around in my head for awhile, saimain’s Forsaken which I keep wanting to paint something ‘like’ whenever I see it… the green forest nymph being in the Fantasia 2000’s Firebird (as seen set to remarkably well suited music here where I first saw it) / Also karringray’s entry for my Flight contest (Finding Her Wings ) (Something about the pose, the level of detail, and the fairly monochrome colouring…) which is convenient as – or possibly because – this is her prize for getting second place. I got to experiment with moss and lighting and water and animals and colour and blending and whimsy. / The white flower/star/heart was vaguely modeled after the eidelweiss flower (means ‘alpine star’) / Forest guardian spirit. Old and wise and ever new, part of the forest and no, there is no gender or sex, it just didn’t fit – they embody all and neither. / I used no references (except for memory) and thus I discovered that I can’t paint little passerines and so forth – I wanted a wren, but . But it had become a point of pride, so I left them out :D / I could have added more animals, but I wanted to maintain a certain level of realistically expectable visible species.
I have driven by this barn many many times and have admired it from a far. Today I finally stopped. This is on HWY 97 heading towards Ellensburg, Washington.
YES!!! I bought the farm!! ha ha ha…..............I wish…........... / Fraser Valley, British Columbia, Canada / April, 2009 HDR…....photomatix pro software….....3 image layering…........tripod…........ THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR VIEWS MY LOVELY FRIENDS…...... xo
I must admit it, I am obsessed with this place, an abandoned farmhouse, deep in Amish farm country. I can’t stop thinking about the generations of family members who knew this as their family home. I have photographed this subject in every season, but I am still trying to capture this scene in a “perfect” shot. I plan to create a definitive set of pictures of this mysterious place, as it looks in all seasons. This is the June image. More to follow… This photo was just taken with a Canon EOS 10D camera body using a Canon EF 35-350mm f/3.5-5.6L zoom lens set to 70mm. The shutter speed was 1/20th sec. at f/22. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release cable. A closer view of the house Your comments are always welcome! Then came the reassuring voice of the angel of the Lord: “For unto you is born, this day, in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10, 11). My prayers for each and every one of you is that as you celebrate Christmas, you will remember the reason for the season which is the birth of Jesus Christ. My best wishes go out to each and everyone one of you, and I hope you have a Joyous and Peace-filled Holiday Season! Merry Christmas! This is an acrylic painting on canvas (18×24).

The horses were warmed by their blankets, back behind the barn. It was literally snowing sideways, in a strong northerly wind. The blowing snow was sticking firmly to every windward surface, while the leeward side of everything remained untouched. This photo was taken with a Canon EOS 10D body fitted with a Canon EF 35-350mm f/3.5-5.6L Zoom lens, at the 35mm wide focal length. The shutter speed was 1/25th sec at f/9.5. The camera’s ISO was set to 100. A Manfrotto, tripod was used with a remote shutter release cable. Your comments are always welcome!
