I was in the chalet ,it was about 9 o’clock when I heard something outside in the dark.It was pouring rain and the wind was so strong and loud.I looked arround the place,Tchoko was missing.I ran outside faster than the wind and run to the river, the poor dog was desperatly fighting againts the currant, his head barely immerging from the mad water.I stood there, helpless, watching my friend drowning…After a few minutes Tchoko seemed to have a last breath of courage and was finaly close enough for me to go in the tumultoustly river and grab his neck.I would have never thought that I was so strong….I was lying on the wet ground, the rain whipping in my face, tired but so happy to have Tchoko in my arms…he was all right now…What a night… / A macro shot I took 2 days ago of some bark and part of a dead tree,.For me it was obvious that the brown thing in the left corner looked like a dog in a wild river.Satured and darked for a contest in Nature’s macro canvas with a very original theme about landscape with water,my imagination went wild… :)))

Annual Cicada (Tibicen chloromera) Cicadas are very loud, fairly large (25-50mm), destructive insects. There are two types of cicada in the United States, annual and periodic. Annual are green and periodic are black and red. The larvae of a periodic cicada spend 13-17 years underground. There are seven different types of periodic cicada species and different varieties of them, those with 13 year cycles and those with 17 year. Seventeen year cicada can be found widely in the north and 13 year can be found in the south and midwest. Four species known today have 13-year life cycles, and three with 17-year cycles. The larvae of an annual cicada spend 2-5 years underground. They usually emerge between the months of July through August. While cicada larvae are under ground they suck root juices from host trees. Cicada have a unique, and very loud mating call, males use their drum-like abdomen to produce a loud buzzing sound that sounds like they are singing. Females make clicking sounds in return. They sing in unison; rising and falling about 1-2 times per second. Each song lasts about 20 seconds before fading away. The song of the cicada can be heard almost exclusively at dusk into the early evening hours. After mating females cut into tree bark to lay their eggs. Females can lay up to 600 eggs at one time! The eggs remain under the bark until the fall, when they drop to the ground and burrow down into the soil and begin sucking the root juices once again. It is during these underground years that is most destructive to the trees. While cicada are very destructive to shrubs and trees, they are harmless to animals and humans. A lot of people call cicada locusts, however they are not really a locust. Locust are a type of grasshopper. Cicada shed their skin in intervals as they grow. These skins are often mistakenly called locust shells. The information was collected from HERE

A crazy dog barking at nightime, blindly reacting to things he doesn’t understand. We all know dogs like this, and some people also.

Keeshonds are wonderful fun dogs – but always hungry. Their joyful expressions are always a treat to those of us who own one. Si U figured : why wear our heart on our sleeve when we can do so on our chest?

Taking a photo of tree bark, I noticed the head of a dog that belongs to the large breeds. His nose was distinct revealing the details of his “dog leather.” It was hard to imagine that I was seeing a dog come out of the / tree, but nothing surprises me considering how many icons I project onto / the elements of nature, particularily the bark of trees. I decided he is a Great Dane, one of my favorite breeds, a noble gentle giant that is a great family dog. Do you have thoughts on what breed this is? Also, in the details of the large head are other images for the viewer to perceive. /

I have tried every thing in the last 6 months to stop my pup from barking, he doesnt bark constatnly but at 5.30am wanting to wake everyone including the neighbours which they have complained about and he barks everytime i come home or for a while when im home, he doesnt have full run of the house but is allowed inside for some of the time when im at home. I realise he gets bored when we are at work and school and he has lots of dog toys to distract. He also gets a walk every day and a long work at least 4 times a week. My next idea is to try one of those ultra sonic bark stoppers but i am wondering if they really work. My pup is a 8 month old Samoyed named Ziggy. He is also into digging the back yard which im trying to stop.
