This is my grand-daughter Angelica…Same processing as The Free Thinker edited in “Gaïa…The living planet book” / I was amazed by the result,I thought it realy looked like an ancient painting. / A long time ago , they use to capture a moment in paintings.When I did that layer I had the impression to had captured the beautiful face of my Angelica forever.C.C Arshagra wrote a poem for me that realy represent that image,when I read it,I cried like a baby.I was realy touched. / I did another image later with the same processing called The free thinker / / / / /

Just trying new things sometimes gives something realy surprising…..experimenting is so much fun,you’ll never know what you’re gone get…. :)) / The making of that image is so simple,with Picasa I put the two pics together,one of a macro shot of bark without cropping and a portrait of my boyfriend listenning to his friends sitting at the patio table.I darked arround a little and that’s it.I didn’t have to do ajustment for the eye and the ear,it’s like the two pics were meant to fit together… :))) / 18 NOV 09 ….6,597 VIEWS / I sold a matted print on the 29 th of november 08 to an unknown bubbler and that image was edited in the book “Gaïa the living planet” Same processing as Torn / When I did that image I thought about how menkind should be more united with the earth ,to feel renewed by the the contact of nature to become a better individuaL,TO BECOME A FREE THINKER.As long as we are trying to control the earth nothing good will come out of it,I often thought that we should be more like trees who are the lungs of our beautiful planet. / My friend C.C Arshagra wrote a wonderful poem inspired by this image,C.C realy understood what I felt when I named that piece. / That poem is called The Free Thinker would.. /

“The warning came too late…..no place to hide. We were down by the beach taking happy holiday snaps when the ocean started to recede. It took me a moment or two to realise what was about to happen. Everyone started to panic…..I could hardly hold a thought in my head with the sound of my heart beating and the adrenalin pumping through my veins. Then I remembered the cave we discovered at the end of the beach yesterday. That would be our only hope as we started to run. As we entered the cave I took one last look as the Tsunami hit….” Macro photograph taken from a palm tree, overcast day, camera set on aperture priority. It is low-branching with a spreading open crown. It sheds its bark in irregular patches in autumn, leaving a smooth white to yellow, olive-green or brown surface, occasionally with scribbly markings from insect lavae. Flowers appear in spring and early summer. They are white or cream.

High on windswept ridges in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in eastern California’s White Mountains live the planet’s oldest known living organisms – the ancient Bristlecone Pines (Pinus longaeva). Some of these trees were already growing when the Egyptians built the pyramids over 4000 years ago. The oldest known Bristlecone Pine is “Methuselah”. This gnarled and twisted tree is about 4,800 years old – and still able to reproduce. But only a few bristlecones have been able to grow to such incredibly old ages, survived ultraviolet rays, extreme cold, wind, and aridity in this harsh environment between the Eastern Sierra Nevada and Death Valley in an elevation between 10,000 and 11,000 feet (3,048 and 3,354 meters) above sea level. pencil on paper (Arches) drawing – image size: 30” wide x 22” high (ORIGINAL SOLD) The title is a play on the word and the physicality of the drawing itself. If you turn this drawing on each side, and upside down, you will see the same face looking at you. (All ways) It also is a memorial – to commemorate some friends and family in my life who passed on but who I’ll remember and want noted for “always”. There are names in the trees and bark, and there is even a tiny little poem in the grass. Good luck finding it. I can only when looking at the original.
