  • One of many in a recent photo shoot. My niece wanted some “glamour” type photos. This was the first time I had been approached to do sexy shots. Thankfully, I had a hot model with some intuitive moves. :) I found that giving direction to my subjects is an area I really need to work on. I do the makeup, the lighting, get the settings adjusted on the camera but then when it’s “shoot time” I’m like a student choking on the test, drawing a blank. I have no problem bossing my husband around-LoL-but I don’t like bossing others around…a catch 22 because direction is exactly what the subject is looking for from me. Guess I just need to get over it! All of my newer portraits are shot against a green screen with the background keyed out and a digital one dropped into place. Perspective is changed on a portion of the background for depth when doing full body shots along with adding any necessary shadows or lighting effects.

  • From my first wedding shoot. Actually, the couple had already hired a professional photographer, and I just tagged along getting candids such as this one. Not sure if anyone is interested in buying someone else’s wedding pictures, but I’m putting this image up for sale anyways.

  • Done in photoshop

  • Corel bought Paint Shop Pro two years ago. Now its called PSP Photo X2 I am bragging about. Like it better than PS. Its on sale for under $60.00 now. I just started playing with its HDR section. It offers an extra twist if you care to play.. This step outside the box of thought is of a scan from a color 35mm slide. I cleaned it up.. It was very old. Then I did a few things to make other images to merge into one threw HDR. I can see this software will provide me with many things to do. I daresay that no one has done it this way before. And just maybe no one will want too.. I spent a few hours putting this together. On dial up it will take some time to upload. Largest image saved from Tiff to Jpg I have ever done. I like the effect which makes me think of going from the 50’s into the world of color. I love to walk down a beach with bare feet. Feeling the water and sand and small bits of gravel rub my feet and that helps me relax.. Ok then you have the sound of waves and the feel of the breeze. Now add the flight of sea gulls taking off to begin the journey.. Please forgive the errors you find. Its the feeling and dreaming I am trying to convey.. I have the original color result and a few others that I merged for HDR..

  • I always thought this would make a great book cover

  • I love Camille Claudel’s waltz – a sculpture where bodies become one and fluid and melted in an embrace which flows. / This is only a modest, unassuming waltz in a summer night – in the grass, following a music in mind. Mind is made of music and lyrics.

  • Inspired by my musician statues, I created this portrait of them using acrylic on canvas. The red tint to their instruments symbolize the passion that they are putting into their ministrations, emphasized by the lack of color in their bodies—if it were not for their contrast against the white background, they would fade into it, behind their music.
