I’ve been playing with this shot for way too long. I’ve done about 8 versions and can’t decide which one, if any, I like best. I’m proud to report that this image is used as the cover-image for the 7-inch vinyl ‘Scars’ record by the Canadian punk/hardcore band called Damages / . / This is a fully detailed photo of a real piece of fencing in Weston-super-Mare. I couldn’t resist the paradoxically soft, curvy, lazy loops of unfriendly sharp razor-wire, sitting above the rigidly regular fence! Out for hours on a perfect day out with my new dslr it took ages to get far as I kept stopping to try things like this…. bliss! Stark dark clouds coming in over drought affected land between Pinnaroo and Loxton in South Australia. Not a drop fell but it gave the sense of impending rains much needed in that area. The Barb you see is actually the top strand on the original normal stock fence that has been covered over by drifting sands. A new one has been put up behind it.. Quite a scary sight. Just what is happening to our earth??? Nature reclaiming the land? Canon 400D 18-55 lens processed in PS3. HDR originally merged in Photomatix.

Captured this beautiful fall scene while on a motorcycle ride to Georgia, Nov. 2008. Didn’t seem fair to be separated from the beauty on the other side by that fence, so I just included it as well. Taken with Nikon D300 and Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8. / Light HDR processing and some Dodge & Burn applied.

by Jen Ryana bird on a barbed wire fence in Lawton OK. This is very near my home… Nikon D80 / May 7, 2009] We have birds making nests in our bbq if we leave the lid down. When I open it, I find bits of trash that they have collected along with the straw and twigs. We should all pay more attention to where our trash is ending up and maybe trying to buy “Naked Products” which are products with a little to no packagins as possible. Shot this one in Numinbah Valley, Queensland, Australia. It was the fence to the Farm Hands Shack shot. The flock of Galahs came out of no where, didn’t manage a focused shot close unfortunately, as I was working on this.. Oh well :) Canon 5D Mk II, 50mm, 16:9 crop.
